Artur Boruc

My mates were sitting near where Boruc-gate took place. Apparently some tool was shouting at him saying "tell me why I pay £30 to watch this ****e" and a load of others were getting on his back as well. Boruc then turned away and threw the bottle over his shoulder. To be fair, he shouldn't react to it, but he doesn't sound like the sort of character who is going to take it lying down.
 
Didnt see the incident from where we sit but i have not been impressed with Boruc in either of the two games that i have seen him play for us. He is not an improvement on Kelvin Davis nor the young lad, so i cant fathom out why he's playing as first choice. However i trust the management to know better than me - hope so anyway !
 
Ok I'm going to throw a curve ball out there. I haven't seen the goals on tv yet, so may need to check that out, but I was happy with Boruc. There was something about his swagger that gave me confidence. He's played two games only so is still developing an understanding about his defenders.

He had a go at the fans? Great, maybe he's a winner!

I'd keep him in for the next 6 games and then review, but on yesterday's impression, he'll do for me.
 
Can't speak about 1st half as was too far away, but in 2nd half, when we were miles better, Boruc looked calm and collected and comfortable with the ball at his feet. He also kept trying to keep the game going. Anyone who boos a goalie who is new to the side and settling in needs shooting (metaphorically). What happened to the concept of Southampton family?
 
With the 2nd goal I thought Boruc was at fault at the time, but seeing the replay it appears not, the real problem was Fonte slipping at the vital moment and I put that down once more to the watering of the pitch before kick off, creating a slippery surface, why do they still continue to water an already wet pitch?
 
Boruc is the man for me also, although I am sure one of the other two will play tomorrow. I was impressed with his distribution, he seems to have picked up the Nigel way very quickly.

Yeah it's crazy. Am I right in thinking they were only watering that end?

I don't think Boruc did anything wrong at all yesterday.
