Reports today suggest that Tony Pullis is lining up a bid for Peter Crouch for around the 10m mark.

I am a huge admirer of Crouch and think he could be a huge player for any club for the next 2 or 3 years. If it’s an experienced quality player we need to complete our striking line up, surely Crouch fits the bill.

If he has come to the conclusion that his future lies outside of London, perhaps the time is right now for us to have another go for him. I think the likes of Wickham, Noble and Won would also benefit from having such a high profile player alongside them.

A proven player. Quality. 30 years old. 1 goal every 3.23 games in the past 6 seasons. Average 44 games a season in the last 6 years (not injury prone). 42 caps/22goals.

    His credentials are impeccable.

Have him. Seriously please take any of Defoe, Keane and Crouch. Hopefully we might actually sign a striker of the age of 17 then!

I think Defoe would suit your style better, to be honest but Crouch certainly has his uses.

I agree, i don't want Crouch, not because i doubt his quality, but because i massively doubt his use and role for us.

    £10million as well, pfff.

Nah sorry Cest, I would have to beg to differ on this one.

I just cannot see any long term value in us signing Crouch for £10M (if the quoted figures are accurate)

You can have him for a Kit Kat and a bag of M&Ms. I'll drive him up there for you but you have to pay for the petrol<ok>

I'd rather we sold Defoe anyway, he just doesn't suit playing upfront on his own and VDV is too good to drop.

You could solve that problem buy giving us VDV and playing Defoe and Crouch up top.

    This idea excites me...

No way, you can have Abbey Clancy if you take Crouch, though <ok>

There's summat not nearly as appealing in that, and it's not Clancy.

How about i take Clancy & Mrs VDV, and you keep Crouch and VDV, and are a hero to me?

I'd take Crouch, but not for £10m. I think he would be extremely useful for us.

Whats wrong with crouch to stoke?

Delaps throws, Pennants crosses, and european football..............................

Crouch and Jones up front, now that's a handfull for any defence.

Crouch would be a superb foil for Gyan IMO.

He can hold the ball up, link play, head, shoot, and generally work defenders all afternoon. He is the Niall Quinn sort of player and Gyan, Sessegnon, Gardener and Richardson would relish playing off him. I think we would score many more goals from midfield with Crouch and forget the £10m, that's just paper talk. I reckon at 30, he could be prised away for £6m or £7m as Arry needs the dosh.

Oh and forget the usual Spurs slurs on him. I remember another striker we bought of them who turned out to be a canny striker for us and even when he left as he did, we made a healthy profit.

I like Crouch and think he will score goals, but he's 30 and £10m is too much.

Now. Who has this DVD of Abbey Clancy?
