OK, It's nothing new. We know we've had a pretty poor start to the season. But unlike when we were struggling in the top flight, we can actually take heart from something and this also tells us a lot about our club's recent youthful transfer policy.
The vast majority of our Premier League squad (i.e. Bullard, Boateng, Cousin, Hunt etc...) obviously wanted to do well and be successful at the club, but in the long run if everything went tits up, they would have themselves some mediocre team chasing their services with a nice little pay-packet to boot. If Hull went into a crisis, it wouldn't cut them that deep because they could hop on to the next bandwagon.
But when you see the Chesters, Evans, Hobbs, McLeans and Dudgeons of our team on the pitch it does cut them deep when we lose. Because all their care about is a hunger for success and success for Hull City. They work their socks off, they'll make mistakes, but they're young and they'll learn from them. Don't boo them when we lose, because they give heart and soul on that pitch unlike 30-something mercernaries who'd rather count their wads of cash. And long may that passion from the youngsters continue, let's hope they can get our team some new-found respect because of their will and approach.

I still disagree with the claim that it's a "poor" start. Perhaps poor results would be more correct?
