And raring to go,
Will Wigan be nervous
Not knowing the foe

They could be, I think
And should be, maybe,
As they will remember
Blackpool-by-the-sea

Like them, a newcomer
With wide open eyes,
We´re ready and waiting
To spring a surprise

Whatever, the flag
Is about to go down,
On our season in
The league above Ipswich Town

The DW Stadium
Is the place where we,
Set off on what should be
An exciting spree

Each and every kick
Should be savoured this year,
And we can go into
Each game without fear

For no-one will rate
Our chances as high,
And that seems to me
Much the best reason why...

..those who doubt us should
Just maybe think again,
Never rule out
Lambert P´s merry men

The underdog role
Should suit us to a T,
Just how long we play that part
We´ll have to see

But here at the start
We should expect no less,
No-one can yet tell
Just what sort of success...

..we´ll find on our journey
From now until May,
I´d not be surprised though
If we´re here to stay

And Wigan, although
They´ve been here for a while,
Should not overwhelm us
With fight or with style

And this one´s just one
Of a whole host to come,

RBF, a perfect way to embrace the new season! You're quite right, we've got to savour every kick. We're going to have a few bumps along the way, but it's going to be a fantastic ride. Still not sure if Wigan away is a good or bad game to open with, if we come back with a point or three, I'll know the answer
