I am getting a little fed up with the topic/excuse of the wage structure at this football club will not be broken, well as Sgt pointed out Carew was reportedly on £53K per week and KJ is reportedly of £45k per week, so where does the £40k per week ceiling come into play??

In any sensible walk of life, the better you are, the more you get paid and there is NO reason why that should not apply to a football club, never mind THIS football club, when I used to work for American Consulting Companies I made damn sure that I was the best I could be (which was bloody good) and I got paid accordingly, if somebody was being paid more than me, rather than sulk etc, I made bloody sure that I worked my socks off for equality or a better salary.

For the life of me, I cannot see why footballers should be any different, yup I know that they are a bunch of Prima Donna, fancy dans, etc etc etc, but reality should kick in, or more so an enlightened management system.

It is not beyond belief that Pulis cannot see that if he WANTS to improve the squad, if he WANTS to progress the football club, IF he WANTS to play more attractive football then the wage structure MUST be revisited.

And another thing that a lot of successful clubs do, is progress players through their Academies, we have had this discussion on here before, it says an awful lot for Pulis and EVERYBODY else involved with OUR Academy, that only lower division teams are benefitting from our loanees, waste of money.

And another another thing, I was led to believe that the Prem was the land of milk and honey, the promised land and SKY would throw money at the clubs, how much of that has gone into making the balance sheet profitable, how much is being put into the club on an annual basis by SKY and how much is Mr Coates putting in through is own pocket??

And another another another thing, IF Pulis had not lost the plot last season and gone all out to beat Wigan in the last game, THAT win, would have meant another £3 or £4 million pounds in the kitty, enough to pay the wages of Bellamy for example on a free transfer, by doing so and him scoring more goals and assisting we may be able to climb another couple of places in the league, which means more money in the kitty.

It's NOT blood rocket science Pulis, so get a grip or go.

Rant over for the moment, will keep my powder dry until 1st September.

    Fingers crossed for tonite
