I just do not know what to say about your actions today Nicola Cortese.........This for me is just stupidity itself. You were the one that brought Nigel in! You were the one that got rid of another very experienced manager. We are the ones that supported you through this despite our misgivings. We backed you and supported the club. You have lost quite a few friends today....that may not bother you but you have taken one hell of a gamble. If your new guy does not quickly establish himself saints fans will let you know by just not turning up. Nigel if you ever read this we the fans Say thank you most sincerely for what you have done for this club in the last couple of years. We cannot believe the action taken today. All we can say is when you are managing another team and you come down to St Mary's there will always be a place in our hearts for you and a bloody great cheer......Thanks mate for everything
Cortese is a dictator and nothing else, awful decision, I never rated Adkins that highly due to his gambles of tactical decisions when he did not need to, but its now crystal clear he was the patsy in this and Cortese and Reed were the driving force behind it, I shall raise a glass when that rat Reed goes.
Truly, truly gutted. Truly believe Adkins was the right man for this club long term. Massive gamble on an unprven manager who doesn't know English football at all.
Its the wrong decision, on two points 1) Morally its stinks and is low as it can get. 2) In a football sense its make no sense, Adkins should of been sacked in early December if at all to allow a manager who knows the English league to manage.
May I add my words of gratitude to you Nigel Adkins. In my opinion you will always be our greatest ever manager (until we win the Champions League). Cortese has taken such a massive gamble. If this toss of the coin lands wrong side up then he will lose the support of everyone. I can only imagine how our relegation rivals are celebrating right now. We could well end up in the championship with a manager who has no clue on how to get us out of it.
See I didn't give a **** about Pardew going, I akso thought Adkins would be a decent manager(turned out to be far better then decent). But the way Adkins has been sacked has shocked me, there have been rumours about it for over a week and I didn't believe them.

No people dont believe things as they dont want to, selfish human nature, anyone stepping out of line gets puts back in or slung out, the British way. Many people like LeTissier have called Cortese an interfering poerson who picks, selects and buys the team and he was lambasted for it, I guess he is right now?
We knew even when we were languishing on 4 points at the bottom and getting beaten every week that Nigel was the man to pull us out and lead us to safety. When the media were giving him flack and saying he would go we continued to chant his name. Now that he's gone we will see more clearly than ever how, more than anything else, it was Nigel that was pulling us through. You may have never given yourself any credit, always directing praise to the players. But we all know that without you we would not be where we are, your hard work and positive mantra were second to none. Thanks for everything Nigel. I can't really express that enough. You can look back at the man in the glass with pride.
