What do you think the key will be ot our season? I think that we will struggle to get the goals we did last year - let's face it before the season started we expected atttack not defence to be our weakness - who would have thought DG would do quite as well as he did.

Losing Buckly and Cowie too does not help.

However there are some good players who have come in and if they don't take too long to settle we have a pretty reasonable squad.

It is the defence though that holds the key for me. The acquisition of a left back was crucial. Now we have to hope that our back four becomes an impenetrable wall.

The Key to that wall though is Loach. If he regains his Under 21 England form then he can make an enormous difference.

One fact - if you look at last year's results there were a number of games where we conceded 2 or more goals and either drew or lost by a single goal. One superb save in each of those games that prevented a goal would have given us 16 extra points. We know Loach was not at his best but if he could save just half of those we would gain an extra 8 points straight off so we need to get behind him from the off and re-build his confidence - it could be the key difference

I think the key to this season is going to be midfield. Specifically how we connect defence with attack (i.e. working as a unit), and transmit possession effectively and efficiently in to attacking play.

I think we are going to suffer without McGinn. For me, he is the final piece in our team. However, the Prince may be able to fill this position.

I think we could fall flat on our faces anywhere on the pitch.

Our defence was weak before but it has been strengthened, but if the players dont gel we could be back to square 1.5. However, i am very happy to see 2!! LB's and a new CB for cover.

Our midfield always seems to be bypassed and out played. We need to make sure we start winning 50/50 balls and controlling the middle of the park. If we dont i can see us struggling.

Our strike force could also let us down, but with plenty of young blood and Iwelumo's old head i can see a few good things too. Lets hope they are all hungry and keep the competition for places high.

Then we could get a couple of loans in who could change the game. I dont think there is any one area which is key. We need all 11 players on the pitch to work together and play as a unit.

Exactly Norway. It doesnt even have to be a Cork or TC, if we get AW back he would do the job for us. He may not get 20 in a season but his 5-10 and workrate would help everyone else make up the numbers. We dont need a 20 goal striker if we have 7/8 players scoring regularly.

Although a 20 goal striker would be some serious icing on the cake:)

I know all 11 players are important and the team is too - not forgetting the Manager - but for me the one player who could earn or save us a lot of points is either an extreme striker or our goalie

We generally dont promote just anything. Usually just news items which have enough detail, and good views threads like this one.

The promote watford button is the +1 button N lol

You're right except now there are only 5 subs so it's harder to fit all of these players in. I think that they should've kept it at 7 subs.
