3.50 Curragh Roicead 6/1 I am having great trouble with this race and have had to stick to my guns and put up Roicead who has won for me the last twice rather impressively which has seen his rating rocket up 20lb. Ratings wont make a difference tomorrow though but its clear Brendan Duke's 4 year old is in top form. He has strong form lines with Murura who I like a lot and definitely deserves his chance at Group 3 level. I've put up Empowering and Katla before and I think the latter has a great chance after winning a listed contest LTO beating the former. Perhaps the value in the race is Celerina who finished 0.25L behind subsequent Group 1 winner 2 starts ago before disappointing LTO (Katla finished behind that day but I think something was wrong with her) but considering he owes me nothing and I want him to win more than any other I'll stick with Roicead Thinking of doing a tricast between Roicead Katla and Celerina also.
3.15 Curragh One Spirit 40/1 ‎ I think this is an absolutely ridiculous price and is perhaps this because of the unfashionable nature of her trainer. One Spirit performed very nicely on her first 3 starts. After an impressive debut performance when she finished 0.25L behind Laughing, she won impressively on his 2nd start at Leopardstown back in June and was perhaps quite unlucky to finish an unlucky 3rd in a listed race at the Curragh behind Pirateer. Pirateer had beaten subsequent Irish Derby Winner Treasure Beach in a nursery with only a 5lb swing so the form of that looks fine.LTO One Spirit met a lot of trouble in running in the race todays favourite Bible Belt won impressively and although I think One Spirit wouldn’t have troubled the winner her run can definitely be discounted. It will be a very tough task to beat the fav as Bible Belt was extremely impressive and although I think a place was the best One Spirit could hope for that day she is definitely still open to considerable improvement and I think 40/1 is a gross misrepresentation of her chances tomorrow. Regular jockey Niall Mccullough (who had to ride for boss John Oxx LTO) is back in the saddle tomorrow and if One Spirit has progressed and gets a clear run I think she could definitely make the frame at a huge price.
Good points Roto. I can't see past Bible Belt tomorrow in the 3.15 at the Curragh, with all variables such as trip, ground and pilot ideal. 11/4 looks really good value against a talented but largely exposed field. This filly is going places...fast...If she isn't I'm gonna meet her on the way down with the deeds to my house..
Morning men, poor day for me yesterday, so dont take much notice (as if you do any way) of me today Jeu Du 14.55 Bev SDS and MJ heady combination of late and this Montjeu prod should win 11/4 Valley of Hope 15:30 Bev. Last chance for this one that i was given at catterick 10/1 At Goodwood thnk KF is on a treble with Doncaster Rover, Ellie in the Pink & Elsie Yarmouth, think Hayley will get a good tune out of Adverse in the 1st looks good on paper and good ew price also like Saloon at 12s ew in the 16:55 Galway willie MUST win the bumper with Capisci Curragh, good but hard racing agree with Bible Belt, like Rock Critic (heavy but decent claimer on board) and leaves you baby small trixie Stay Frosty my Friends
ROTO just been looking at One Spirit, like what you wote and think 40s is excellent price and im on ew, thanks
Morning all Dan hope I could save you some money on that Robin Angevin yesterday - deffo a monkey but watch it hose up in a novice hurdle at 25/1 over the winter . Think you're right about today's bumper though - that one looks a very decent animal I actually picked out 3 different naps this morning and all were non-runners so I've gone for a bit of a sporty one in the Irish Cambridgeshire in Tony Martin's runner Pires (5.00 Curragh, NAP). Absolutely dotted up over 12F last time out and I'm pretty sure this has been his target. Dropping back to a mile may not seem ideal but I'm sure this will be run at a furious pace and his undoubted stamina should be seen to good effect. Not a race to be heavily involved in but hopefully my seconditis from yesterday has gone!! Good luck everybody
Just looked at One Spirit's races. Looked as though the extra furlong would suit but got completely knocked out of her one race over 9f and had no chance thereafter in the race won by Bible Belt. Difficult to see her reversing places with Bible Belt, who looked really impressive, but definitely looks over-priced and seems a decent ew bet. Whatever happens, you can certainly spot them ROTO. Bible Belt still has to reverse placings with Wild Wind so 8/1 looks generous for that one also.
quiet on here today, im baby sitting so thats why im here and watching gp cant get the footy so if any body has a stream would apprciate it stay frost
I think the 15.20 at Goodwood looks interesting and looks to be a good opportunity for HOORAY to bounce back to form. Knocked out of contention early on last time out. Best at 6 fur but provided they don't steam off over the first fur uphill it's then downhill for most of the way with a bend turning into the 5f marker and her speed should be good enough if she is anything near her best. 7/2 not a brilliant price but might be worth a small interest.
Nifty Fifty Seven at Gal, breed out of Great Palm which is now owned by Dappers breeder Chris DAWSON ew of course, think fav will hose up
The maiden that Crusade finished in mid div at York could turn out to be a decent race. Cracking card at the Curragh today.
