Confident of a win against Reading to further push up the table or are we going to be humbled by former boss Adkins?

    2-0 to Southampton

Important game as it could pretty much guarantee Premier League status for next season and a lot of money coming the clubs way.

    What a goal:

Nice match thread DTLW. We've got to put Reading on the back foot early. Do that and we should win. I can't see Reading coping with our high tempo and pressing high up the pitch.

Irresistible match up. Can Nigel outfox Mauricio, given the variables of home advantage, newness in the job, obvious lack of confidence from his players, Nigel's ability to get the best out of apparent strangers still, as far as his new players are concerned..?

    Not bloody likely is it.

    3-1 Saints.

Nice thread DTLW. I will be utterly astounded if we fail to win this match. Reading are a very poor team and fully deserve to be relegated i'm even going to say this game should provide our biggest win of the season, i am going to predict a 5-1 win with Shaw scoring his first goal for the saints, a side foot volley from 16 yards from a Clyne cross.

    It's certainly a bold statement.

Anyway, a comment on the game: I'm sure Adkins will be a good appointment for Reading, but realistically he's not going to keep them up, and they have little chance of winning this game. 2-0 Saints for me.

Why do they have little chance? Do you not know Southampton?

If we win this, we are all but safe. If Reading win this, then they keep that glimmer of hope that they could pull off a great escape. I think it will be a tougher game then many are predicting, but we need to prove that we can turn in a winning performance against the 'smaller' teams. I'm going for a nervy 2-1 win.

Press may try to build this up, but the problem is that both are good guys. I suppose neutrals will go for Nigel. I think it's Speccy v Touchline Totty (latter to win 3.1).

Because they're not very good. They've lost all of their last 6 games. Why should we be the team that slips up against them?

Because we're AMAZING at losing or drawing games we really should win. For that reason, I'm going for a 2-2 draw......
