I see that James Armstrong got a game tonight at Darlo as a sub. The son Gordon, he of all time top 10 appearance fame and scorer of 'that' FA Cup goal v Chelsea, no less. His old man wasn't exactly Zinedine Zidane but he was a canny player nonetheless, who will dine out for life on that quarter final game at Roker Park. One of the most memorable in the old girls history IMO and one of the best atmospheres I've ever been to. I wonder if dad was at Darlo to see his lad make his senior debut. Played out wide so I wonder if we are going to see the return of the infamous Armstrong kick off and goal kick routine. Long hoof to the sidelines to GA and a header back into the middle to anyone close enough to it. Lol. Seriously though, not many sons of famous ex-players of ours have made the grade, so good luck to him.
