Fourth Official: P Dowd. OK so last match before Christmas. Live on Sky. Spurs seem in disarray, just sacked AVB, knocked out of the cup at home, all over the place at the back and leaking goals. There can't be a better time to be playing them can there? This will still be a tough tough match. Spurs have so many options up front and although our defence has been better in the last couple of games we need our first choice rearguard back fully fit before I will start to feel confident. That said we have a pretty decent record against Spurs at home so I'm going for a 2-1 home win! Havent heard any injury news but Paulinho is banned for Spurs and we will still without Boruc Victor and possibly Clyne. Although Dani may be looking at a possible ban he is available on Sunday. I'd go with Gazza Chambers Fonte Lovren Shaw Morgan Cork Jrod Davis Adam Dani Subs Croppr Jos Maya JWP Reed Rickie Gallagher Lets hope we can go into the festive period with a good performance and 3 points! COYR!
Townsend injured too from last night, don't want to get my hopes up as you know what they say about a wounded animal!
Spurs are there for the taking. 3-0 Saints. Dani on the bench. His performance at Newcastle (on the pitch) does not justify him starting. Start with the team that started the 2nd half, except Fonte for Hooiveld.
Spurs fans seem resigned to defeat but we all know it's never straightforward. I still think we will nick it buy the odd goal.
Agree with Tomw19, the Spurs are there for the taking! Play our game and play it well and this is a 2-0 Would like to see Rickie instead of Dani as I think their central defence problem is just right for the Big Man COYRs
Dawson's in pretty awful form right now so that could only be a positive for us (though Capoue at centre-back is probably not the best replacement either).
I think everyone is a bit over-confident. They have been playing badly sure, but teams playing badly always seem to up their game against us! I'm going 1-1
Lovren hit one recently. Straight into the wall admittedly, and with so much force that it bounced back into our own half, but still!
"I've still got my smile on my face. I got a chance, I took it well. I'm very happy. Now the most important thing is me scoring goals, confidence is back." The not too selfish Adebayor thinks he starting on Sunday, hopefully with Tim at the by line.....please.
