OK so we’ve got a long way to go to beat the current Saints club record 10 match winning run but we can make it 6 wins in a row by beating Arry, Glenda and QPR on Saturday.
Saints go into the game in tremendous form and the players confidence must be sky high. QPR on the other hand have struggled a bit on their return to the top flight and have major injury worries especially in midfield. Their recent signing from Spurs, Sandro is out after celebrating a goal in training so Arry only has Fer, Henry and Kranjcar fit for Saturday.
Saints have lost JWP and Toby and Maya may not be fit. Ron has a few selection decisions to make especially up front where he has to decide whether to start with Mane or Long? I thought our midfield were awesome against Arsenal as was Targett so will Cork and Bertrand be able to get back in?
    I think I’d go with

    Fraser
    Clyne Fonte Gardos Bertrand
    Wanyama Morgan Davis
    Tadic Pelle Mane

Subs KD Targett Maya/Toby Cork Reed Mayuka Long

We’ve got a decent record against QPR but we all know there are no easy games at this level. I’m going for a 2-0 home win with Pelle and Long scoring. Let’s keep this winning run going

    COYR!

I would be tempted to drop wanyama for cork and long for mane. Keep them in reserve and use them if needed.

Thought we were beginning to look a little tired towards the end last night, unsurprisingly. I hope that big Vic, Steven and Morgan can boss the midfield like they did at the last home game (and that QPR are as poor as Newcastle!). My conservative (small 'c') nature says 1-0 to Saints (it would be great for Steven to bury one in the net), but I hope for many more! COYR indeed!!

Cork and Long in just for rotational purposes. Would probably give Davis and Mané (looked knackered towards the end) a rest

We're due a loss, QPR due a win, but I'm never confident when I have a ticket.

That would be my team, the only change I would make from the starting XI from the cup would be Bertrand for Targett. No need to rush Alderweireld back, Fonte and Gardos looked very good last night. Unless anyone has picked up slight knocks, 3 days of rest will be more then enough for the same team to start again you'd assume.

This is a game that even if we were being asset stripped sold all our best players and never replaced them i would of expected to win, so i am fairly confident this will turn out to be a shocking defeat. As it was a couple of seasons ago. I fecking hate Arry!!!

Have this feeling too. I think it will be either a big win or a 1-0 loss

Want to see Mane get freedom to move central and use his pace on Ferdinand.

He's alright, we had him at L'pool. His beef was with the boy that did change.

I would go with the OP's team as well. Worried about this one after the last time they came
To St. Mary's. One of the most frustrating games I've seen, I remember leaving the ground and being so annoyed. Hopefully we have a plan B this time...

I agree with that, took a while to get over that game.

Is that true about Sandro injuring himself while celebrating a goal in training? That could only happen to a team managed by 'Arry boy.

Yeah, he scored a goal and went and did a knee slide on the firm, dry turf... knee injury. :)

Can someone tell me how the hell newly promoted struggling QPR qualified to the category B teams when buying tickets? £40 to watch Harry worm his way out of a deserved hammering. I'm many here who just has that niggling feeling that QPR are gonna grind out a draw. But I also think we'll thrash em.

London club who travel well, and our fixtures are both 3pm on a Saturday, meaning it's accessible.

Prices typically lower for clubs who have to come further or are particularly unattractive to the home crowd. (No Harry jokes, play nicely)
