We'll never know the exact reason Samir Nasri had 2 differing halves to last season...to begin with he was scoring at will and ripping teams to shreds, his assist count wasn't great but he did play a key part in our build up play... Then we hit 2011 and he didn't come close to getting a goal and seemed to run in circles in the middle of the pitch without any impact. The most likely scenario is that come January with 18 months to run on his deal and one of the top performers in the league he caught the attention of Utd, City, etc and they turned his head to the money and success he could have with them. But this seems to happen more and more to us as a team as it's a vicious circle. Adebayor, Cole, Helb, Flamini have all hit form then run and it's what had hurt this team the most, the constant restructuring. We all fear RVP, Wilshere, etc will one day be tempted by the money they could earn elsewhere. We have (last I heard) the 3rd largest wage bill in the league yet no player over 100K per week!! So how do we have a wage structure then?!?! It's squad players earning 60-70k that's killing us when that could go to the real quality and we'd have a chance of keeping our talent The landscape has changed since Abramovich and Man City owners came on the scene and we need to change our philosophy if we're to have any chance of getting back on top
I think all Arsenal's staff are included (Wenger has a staff on the website of 19 - without all the office types). But yes I suspect we attract lots of youth with the high wages and playing chances. Thats again why we loan out a lot.
