So I gather from what I read on here that most people are disappointed with the lack of signings, and probably more so with the lack of quality and pace in defence.

However this is my view on who we have signed so far:

Dyer- anyone who plays for England 33 times is no mug, as long as he stays fit he could be a real asset, prem experience for our inexperienced team, also quite versatile.

Bothroyd- finally a striker who is not only strong but is pacey, he can finish as well as we learnt against Cardiff. Can be a revelation with DJ or up top on his own.

DJ- great signing, some will question whether he is a 1 season wonder but I think not, quick and experienced, he has great strikers instincts, anticipation and of course a great eye for goal. Lucky to get him

Gabbidon- hmmm probably the most optimistic of our signings, a few years ago he was immense, injury hit and he's struggled to refind the promise he once had. Good experience. And if he can get back on track, we will reap the benefits.

Its an optimistic view of our signings and its well put, Goalie. Again, no amount of fancy dressing masks the fact that had we seen this two months ago we would have been massively disappointed. If we signed these players in the Championship I would say very good work and they'll help us get up.

West Ham, a Championship Club in the financial shi*ter, have spent more and signed better players than us for fu*k's sake.

Sorry guys, we and the manager have been hugely let down by the owners of our Club.

Bothroyd & Campbell are good signings but Dyer & Gabbidon are risky and injury-prone. we're still at least five quality signings short of what is required...

Upson, Clyne, Bertrand (loan), Puncheon, Crouch (loan). That's just a few who would improve the team without breaking the bank, a bit of investment could make a hell of a difference.
