As we all know, we have had a few players arrive in from foreign leagues. On other hand, we've also witnessed English players arrive at Liverpool for sums which I believe have risen due to Liverpool's desperate demands for players in order to enter the top four of the Premier League. The majority of the Liverpool users will instantly dislike this article due to the fact that I'm mentioning matters which may come across as unnecessary. But, I intend on specifically addressing the matters we're having to face as users.

I mean, tolerating the signing of Suarez was bearable, but hearing nonsense such as:

For those of you that aren't aware of Liverpool's latest additions: Liverpool have had to cough large amounts of money for players who have performed well for one season. According to Liverpool the signings they have managed to secure will ensure they finish above Arsenal. The signings include the likes of Charlie Adam, Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson (whose ability will surpass Xavi's according to Liverpool fans) are amongst those recently signed in the region of £80 million.

In the meantime, please feel free to contribute your genuine thoughts below as they are beneficial to many of us on this forum. Also, I will not tolerate offensive language which may lead to unnecessary disputes. So, please refrain from using language which may be deemed offensive.

    Orwight Hizmo. Been a while.

Not sure what this has to do with United though.

You're not trying to create an argument are you?

I agree with the OP. Liverpool fans need to take a step back, ignore the propaganda and look at what "King Kenny" has spent £104 million on. I think it will take a super human effort for Liverpool to make the top 4 next year. They are not very good imo. With the exception of Suarez (who is brilliant) there just isn't any class there. I'm not a United fan on the wind up. I genuinely believe that Liverpool are not good enough to challenge the top 4. And I believe that the league table will show me up to be correct come May. So feel free to Bookmark this thread, because I'm very confident that my prediction will prove correct.

I'll treat this article with respect as your points seem to be fairly understandable.

Even if you can find names, I bet they won't reflect the thoughts of other supporters.

In response to the title, we can.

Last season, during KK's tenure, we came 2nd/3rd in the form league. We had Carroll who wasn't 100% fit, Suarez who just got into the squad and we had also been missing key players such as Carragher and Gerrard. On top of this we had such problems that players from the academy were drafted in for early league debuts, Flanagan and Robinson featured for a few games and got a run, despite both being under the ages of 19. In previous seasons we have proven our reliability on Gerrard and Torres, Gerrard was out through injury and Torres was sold to Chelsea. Despite all I have mentioned, also taking in the fact we were 12th at the time KK tookover, we still beat Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, aswell as getting a draw at Arsenal who all finished above us.

Now, if you are going to sit there, and blatently deny that Liverpool cannot improve, despite the additions of Gerrard, Aquilani, Adam, Henderson, Downing and Doni aswell as the rest of the squad recieving a good pre-season behind them, there is something wrong.

If any of the above is biased, then please, do point them out and I'll do my best to justify my opinion.

May I also remind you we still managed a sixth place finish at the end of last season despite the situation we were in.

Can I also request any Manchester United/Liverpool supporters to treat this thread with respect and lets try and have a good debate without it all kicking off.

If you want to start a flame war then use the designated thread, if you have a genuine opinion then share it here, remember it would be good to use facts to back them up to avoid being torn up in the debate.

You didn't come 2nd/ 3rd in the form table. You came 3rd. Period. In that time you beat United at home, Chelsea at home, beat City at home. Basically, they were great results but the fixtrure list dictated that you should have done better in the 2nd half of the season. You also lost to Blackpool, Wolves, West Ham, Spurs and Villa.

Sorry but I'm pretty confident that United, Chelsea and City will battle it out for the title. I'm also confident that Arsenal will (as always) start the season like a train. They won't maintain that but they will do enough to leave Liverpool and Spurs in their wake. Boring prediction but also a realistic one.

So you believe that the squad that finished 6th will not be stronger with the addition of aquilani, henderson, downing plus carroll and suarez having a full season?

Can't you see that we have a new manager that turned the season round for us form a very poor position? Consider where we were at.

We played Chelsea and Arsenal away in that time. We played Chelsea at home in the first half of the season.

We also beat Wolves away in that time, while we lost to them under Hodgson at home, so that's another rubbish point by you.
