http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/...ign=Feed: theguardian/football/rss (Football) So Brenda's boss has given instructions to liquadate Argyle should the BP fall through ... surely that isn't a good idea because I can imagine all sorts of court challenges could be issued against them for the way they have handled this, as well as their reputation being left in tatters ! Does anyone know how much you can claim for in the small claims court ?
Now if anyone comes on to explain that this is nothing to worry about or that us fans should concentrate on the football, I will do a DS and rant about green tinted specs!
It's become extremely serious over the past few days Greenjock, although I wouldn't give this particular article more than about 6/10. It doesn't explain exactly how similar the ownership structure was at Wrexham and from what I've read, the ground lease doesn't seem to be a big issue - I'm sure I saw it meets League guidelines and the rate of rent increase is inflation only. However, I do think the danger is now severe. If the BIL deal does go belly-up, I'm not at all confident a rescue effort is feasible at this very late stage.
this sounds mighty serious. the football league will not want any club liquidated, so can brent and co raise the cash, if they cannot then the writing may be on the wall, as heaney and co sound a busted flush, and it is hight time brenda pulled their chain
