Well.. I wasn't expecting the 3 points in the "Nolan/Cardiff City Cup final"! Shame they didn't show Nolan collecting his loser's medal though eh? ;)

Na, in all fairness, when West Ham click this season, they are going to go like an absolute steam train! Taylor was immense for them and Parker oozed class at times, you could tell because he just seemed to take one touch and have so much space straight afterwards. So taking the 3 points was absolutely superb!

Marshy had a superb game yesterday.. Seems more confident with his handling, came off his line well, distribution was great and his shot-stopping was top class, hopefully he can keep it up.

Gerrard was shakey to start but I though him and Hudson played well otherwise, a work in progress perhaps but I think with the addition of Tayls at LB we look far more solid at the back.. McNaughts imo had a poor game compared to his usual high standards but it's early days.

Gunn-show in fits and starts was good, but he needs to sort his "trademark" long throws out, they were rubbish yesterday, as i've said many times before, adds a new dimension of attack to our arsenal if they come off. Whitts was outstanding yesterday, seems to be revelling in his more advanced central mid role. Conway was kept quiet yesterday, he'll come good though.. cowie was impressive yesterday, neat and tidy and kept us ticking on the right.

Gestede looks like a very shrewd acquisition by Malky, but let's not get too carried away yet, it's only one game but he did really really well and put himself about, hope he keeps it going, there might be a new cult following for him if he continues to play like that. Earnie looked sharp and I don't think it'll be long before he kicks on and bags his 1st for us. Miller, hmmm.. well he didn't have the best of games, but he didn't half take his chance well.. if he does that week in week out, I don't think we'll complain too much, he looks full of running though and he will cause problems against lesser defences than yesterday..

And best for last Malky.. the bellowing Scot from the touchline, animated and full of PASSSSHUNN! A refreshing change and that'll give the fans something to shout about! My man-crush on Malky continues to grow. Haha!

Still i'm enjoying it walking into a predominantly Jack office today.. It's Miller time folks.. BLUEBIRDS!

Cheap nasty stuff for people who can't afford MGD or any of the other so called beer they make. There must be a better & more appropraite t-shirt out there somewhere from Miller.

for a team of 8 new starters it was a great performance..admittedly we were shaky at the beginning and yes west ham did have some good opportunities but thats to be expected..they were the home team and have bags of talent through the side, to think a team can go there and not be under the cosh at certain points in the game would be foolish thinking!

where we lacked in flair we more than made up for in grit, determenation and togetherness....not to say there is no flair in this side because im positive there is..just need some more game time together.

one other thing..i was a massive fan of DJ and he gave me the best 5 yrs of my cardiff city supporting life..worked wonders with all the problems we faced..but i honestly believe had he been in charge yesterday we would of scraped the draw or even lost in the dying minutes and i think thats where the malky way will be different..he installs that never say die attitude and i think that was maybe something we lacked under DJ...i know maybe its early to say but i genuinely believe malky is the kind of manager that will drive that mentality into his teams.

Agree with sentiments from fellow Bluebirds.. to London Bluebird and all other exiles in the 1927s, stay safe from the chavvy little divs..

But if possible and safe to do so, give one of the little muppets a slap!

Totally agree London. Thankfully none of that in our part of the world - so far. A lot less likely I think as the different cultures and races have lived side by side and integrated for many years. That's not to say that whites weren't involved in London but the pictures shown tell the story.

Time for Cameron to show what he is made of and take tough action. That is what the majority of the country want. No time to sit on the fence. Hit the ba$tards hard and early.

Gezza is right that it would be different if it was football fans. I saw enough baton swinging police in London after the game at QPR last season - having a go at Cardiff fans who only wanted the opportunity to show cowardly QPR fans the error of their ways in throwing bottles and fireworks at us from behind a high wall.

It looked quite bad in some areas. I think it caught everybody of guard. Hopefully we've seen the worst of it.
