Now Paynter has been ruled out with tonsilitis we're left with McCormack as our only fit striker. Does this mean a reprieve for Mike Grella? Personally I think the guy's pretty decent & while we're still paying his wages we might as well play him. Also, the triallist Alexandre Mendy,I know he's primarily a right winger but he's 6'3",maybe worth trying him out up front against the wendies as Ross & Grella aren't the tallest of players. So what does everyone think? Grella a second chance? For me 100% yes.
Come on Billy take the tonsiles out and play.......... Man up...... we need you.... Billy be a hero !!!!
I'd much rather see Grella starting than Paytner anyway. Although he's yet to take his chance in a Leeds shirt, he is a good player maybe a bit lightweight, compared to Paytner being a **** player who is fat.
Ok so Paynter did play after all, though it had said on the OS that he had tonsilitis & wouldn't feature. Looks like Grella's totally frozen out as he wasn't in the squad even though we're short on strikers. Guess we're paying him to cut up the half-time oranges. What a waste.
It'd be nice to see Grella play for us again, very underrated striker who has put in some good performances for us before, like Kettering and Norwich.
