I had a great day out at Fleetwood yesterday and much of that was due to meeting up with fellow members of this board. I travelled up on the long journey with alwaysright and met up with fellow not606ers itstimupnorth & family, BSG, LeedsGill. As the Gills promotion party is preparing for the next few weeks and that commenced with some tasting of Real Ale before the game in Lancashire. I thought Fleetwood were really lucky to equalise yesterday with our own goal but on balance it was a fair result, because probably with the exception of Legge and Keds we never really did deal with their strength and at times the Cod Army were looking dangerous when getting into our box. Danny Kedwell was only thwarted from scoring the winner in the dying minutes with brilliant low one handed save by the opposition keeper Davies. Our striker could only look back in disbelief ruing his luck on how did that not go in! But Davies for them did appear to be the joker of the pack as he shared banter with our travelling faithful but with that save he was certainly having the last laugh. All in good humour the opposition keeper turned at the end to applaud our fans and what a great gesture that was as he was applauded in return. Something I have learned on my few travels this season is football actually still does breath some life and whether you are at Fleetwood or Aldershot, these are the games where you can share the real experience and I suggest everyone does so at least once in their lifetime before the old fashion terracing is a bygone era. Only five more games to go now, Rotherham (home), Torquay (home), Cheltenham (away), AFC Wimbledon (home) and Burton (away). The only one of those five I will not be attending is Cheltenham. So looking forward to tomorrow and the visit of Fat Boy Evans and I am just wondering what games will other not606ers be attending for the remainder of this season and what celebratory drinks are planned? Thanks to all my friends for yesterday's day out and let us see more members sharing the same experiences.
