An article from American press about Southampton. Apparently Koeman and Les Reed at only their second meeting turned the table into a tactics board, moving cups around as they discussed plans One point was the hint that we are unlikely to spend big in January...this was similar to what Koeman said recently. Anyone who thinks we are going for broke will be sadly disappointed. Nice to hear that Reed can see us winning the PL one day, but the present target is Europe and a Cup win.

How come the US, a country not known for its "soccer" can write a much more interesting and well informed article than our rag tops....

 

A bit of artistic licence there. I mean, no one was anticipating all the players leaving at the end of the Utd game. And given where Reed sits, no was was shuffling past him all doom and gloom.

Still, a good read nonetheless.
