Today, I think, was the final straw for our under pressure manager. I am not going to critise the lads, they worked hard enough however the direction comes from the top and our game plan today was entirely about stopping Brighton from playing and hoping we could nick something which completely nullified our attacking threat... THIS IS COMPLETELY & TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE It is crystal clear that the manager has now given up all semblance of playing football and is just trying to cling on to his job by trying not to get beat and frankly, against Brighton, that was never going to work as they were always likely to have at least 1 gilt edge chance and, they took it. At face value, today's attendance of just under 14,000 seems quite healthy however this included the 2,000 odd Brighton fans plus an unknown number of "guests" for a fiver, I guess 1,000 or so..? So, the actual home attendence continues to fall and, after today's game, you are going to have to PAY ME to bring a friend along next time because after making them watch that ****, they won't be my friend anymore... This squad is decent, it could make the play-offs again under the right direction but we have;- - no goals in 4 home games, - a quite obviously demoralised team and - a manager who ran out of ideas (if he ever really had any) about a year ago The situation is getting more desperate with every game - every week where you fail to act means more and more people will lose interest and stay away and what little momentum that we have left will be lost. You can try introducing morre desperation measures to artifically maintain the crowd level but I tell you that there is a very easy fix Bring in a very strong man manager with some idea of tactics and you wouldn't have to do any of the offers as this team WILL SUCCEED and of course, this is what will really bring the crowds back, at full price too. I don't like being personal but I have had it now so I will tell you now that leaving Keith Millen in charge of this club WILL DESTROY ALL OF THE PROGRESS MADE IN THE LAST 5 YEARS. You get what you pay for and in our case, this is a poor excuse for a manager.. We need a Lambert, a Poyet, a Ferguson i.e. A STRONG MAN MANAGER - I watched David Moyes interviewed just now, you only have to look into his eyes to imagine what would happen if you didn't perform ACT NOW OR THE CLUB WILL WITHER & DIE.... Edit:- just about the only + side today was Brighton at 13/10 - what does that tell you Mr L, die hard City fans betting against their own team because they KNOW that they are going to lose. I've already covered the cost of my season ticket betting against the City which is good because if you leave Millen in charge, I won't be using it again...
I agree with what you have said premier, I feel that when we fail to score in the first 15 minutes or when the opposition score we run out of ideas, that I believe falls on the management. To me the team don't know what they are supposed to do, we take JCR off who gets voted man of the match and replace him with Stead out on the left. Then we take Skuse off the only one I felt today had any desire to win the ball. When we have Kilkenny who gets the ball then stops allows the opposition get back in position then plays sideways! He won't challenge for a tackle, won't even go to try and head the ball if a player is within 20 yards off him! I would love to see Dave Jones given the chance to change things and hopefully he could get things moving in the right direction. And the added bonus is he lives in just past Chepstow and is Unemployed
Well said Prem.......something I have been bleating about for months, well since last Jan but I understand those whom wanted to give him a chance......but the time has come Keef.. It needs to be done now to give the new manager time without the worry of catching up points for survival.....

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh No one listens to us Millen out please...................................................
True, no one will listen to the fans, afterall we are the mugs who pay these peoples wages, you'd think they would show us abit more respect! i bet Clueless keef will still be here in 4-5 months time from now, with us 9 points adrift of safety at the foot of the table, will i still be going to city games? NOOPE!!!! millen out NOWW!
Prem agree with the comments "I am not going to critise the lads, they worked hard enough however the direction comes from the top and our game plan today was entirely about stopping Brighton from playing and hoping we could nick something which completely nullified our attacking threat... ......" ....that was never going to work as they were always likely to have at least 1 gilt edge chance and, they took it.... The points I made Friday night, also the subs on the bench were all wrong left no scope or versatility
There are worrying signs at AG. It appears that most fans do not have faith in Millen - if we fail to perform at hom,e then we are doomed but when you set out defensive, you have given up any home advanatge. The Board is silent - this is always going to be a problem when they are figureheads and not investors. None of us know how much say Mr Sexstone has but as someone who is not persoanlly invested in the club, other than taking a decent paycheck, I would suggest that he has zero abaility to actually make any "real" decisions other than to pick up the phone and dial Guernsey. We don't really know why Steve stepped own but it is proving to be a very, very bad decision and the longer this goes on, the smaller the cowds will become, the higher the bank overdraft and absolutely no hope that Maynard will sign an extension. It's a very bleak outlook. Anyone think we should have cashed him in whilst we could???
What odds Leeds to win at home on Saturday? perhaps I could get my ST money back, it is a dead cert after all!
Banksy, Hills are quoting 8/11 for a Leeds victory - we are 3/1 to win, 12/5 the draw... If you are going to get on Leeds, I suggest you get on now as I doubt the odds will be that generous come Saturday
Nah DD.....Leeds aren't the team they were last season, but they're still a cut above us especially at Elland Road.
hmmm... very tempting Prem, but it goes against my gut instinct about betting on City. (especially against them) It would be like printing money though!!
