Everytime there is an article about a club showing some interest in one of our less succesful squad members, I think we should all attempt to make a more positive response, stretch the truth a little,no need to lie just the odd,"hasn't quite made it here but could be OK for you" type of thing. At present whenever anyone shows interest there is a barrage of.....he's ****e,good riddance etc etc, surely this cannot help in the chances of moveing the player on This can be our Salesman contribution to the good of the club and helping to get rid of the deadwood If fans of prospective buying clubs listen to all these negative comments and word gets around or even prospective buying manager reads them it surely cannot help in the deals going through. If we were linked with an unfamiliar player from another club and all their fans came on here slating them would we been keen for the transfer to complete??? If i was wanting to sell my car, i wouldn't go round shouting...it breaks down every week, the clutch is ****ed........etc etc, i'd say it can be tempermental occasionally and the gearbox oil could do with changing!!!

when i read the title of this article i was dreading seeing some sort of article encouraging people to abuse these players to force them out.... i'm glad to see we are not going there. at this point if we could even get 50% of their wages paid elsewhere itd be good.... i don't suppose some us club will come in and buy col like keane going to galaxy.
I doubt it. The american wage cap means only 1 player can have a high wage - The Beckham Rule. Each side with a "designated player" has to pay an extra $250k (shared between each club that doesn't have a designated player) for the priviledge. Which club is seriously going to use their 1 designated player as Phillipe Degen? more on the Beckham rule here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Designated_Player_Rule
This is what Chelseas for sale sign on Torres would be like For Sale. Sulky Spanish number Only had 3 owners. Not as reliable as he once was. Useless in blue better in red. Was bought for £50 million Will settle for £2.50 ONO.
I think you overestimate the level of regard for fan opinion in the upper echelons. High praise hasn't moved Aqua on yet. It didn't bring us Mata, either.
has anyone seen poulsen play.. i mean really play... not hang round in front of the centre backs telling whomever is beside him not to go forward in case they leave him alone and exposed? He plays like he forgot his shorts and needs someone in front and behind him to hide his embaressment. I don't think anyone has ever seen degen play either... i saw him run once... literally he then promptly got sent off... i think i saw him tackled once too.. broke a rib. does that count. I saw joe cole play 5 years abck... what a player... If we could sell cole to a US club we could be quids in,.
ah... the rule has changed since I last played a US league on football manager, you can now have up to 3 but you have to pay for it. more on the amended Beckham Rule here http://goal.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/04/01/m-l-s-expands-designated-player-rule/
It's mystifying how nobody was saying anything bad about Joe Cole last year at the World Cup. In fact it was universally accepted that Gerrard behind Joe Cole would win the World Cup and the only person who appeared to reject that fackt was Capello. Now there are millions who knew he was ****. Funny, that.
