Last nights friendly really showed how much we lack up front, whilst i like leon best he is a back up at best and it is imperative that we sign another striker if we are to survive...

One positive of last night that I haven't seen mentioned were the cameo performances of Vukic and Abeid... Both looked assured in possession, lively and physically competent, i noticed abeid muscling someone off the ball before giving it, his movement was always bright... this is the first i've really seen of him and i was pleasantly surprised...

Enrique will leave which is such a blow because he provides such an attacking threat down the left however he really does annoy me when he trys skinning players deep oin his own half when he could pass it quicker before the opposition has boxed him in...

If Joey Barton is sold on the cheap, we are ****ed... no two ways about it, for all the hype of cabaye and HBA, Joey is our most important player, 100% every game, good passer, good in the tackle... we need him badly, ffs ashley give him a contract you fat bastard....

Ben Arfa, is a massive player for us, and we really lack a cutting edge when he isnt on the pitch, have to hope this injury clears up quickly and if it doesnt we have to hope that they go back into the transfer market... which they wont

Marveaux and Cabaye were left out of their respective games yesterday, does anyone know why??

just posted an article on why i thought we we're so poor last night but i did forget to mention Abeid and Vuckic. They made me happy

 

Regarding Erding, I don't necessarily assume he'd choose Turkey, even though he plays for the national team, he's never chosen to play there before, and I'm sure he's had the opportunity to. Plus, there's the recent controversy in their league due to match fixing, AND Galatasaray already signed Elmander as well this off season, plus still have Milan Baros who should be back to health now.

 

One of the few bright spots so far.
