I am desperately hoping that we sign two or three more players in the next 2 days. We desperately need 1 or 2 centre backs and i would be looking at someone like mertesacker and a defender that is currently based in the epl. I have not heard much about park chu-young who is almost certain to join but he is a forward which is an area which i think needs strengthened in order to help van persie and also give us another option going forward. I do also think that if we do need to spend £5m pounds extra on a player particularly a defender then wenger should do it because we are a shambles defensively.
We may not be able to acquire a creative midfielder in this window but i think that that must be a target in january after losing our most creative influences in fabregas and nasri as i dont think ramsey is the player to fill cesc's boots. I have looked at the fixture list and although we do have champions league matches we have a fairly easy run in both the epl and the cl and i would expect us to win all of those matches even in our current state, especially after such a poor start in terms of fixtures, they decide to play us against liverpool and man utd either side of a vital cl qualifier.

  2. Initially it was August that was our crucial month. Now it's September and come the end of that, we would be looking at a must win October. This crazy cycle must stop and if they don't manage this then some heads will have to roll. The money only men like Mr Gazidis should go and then we could hopefully bring back some sense into the management in the return of David Dein. I kid you not. He would be as or more influential than almost any player we can bring in at this late stage.

Every day is crucial for Wenger --- he must be hanging on by a thread.

The only reason the owner might not unload him - is if the finance is so compelling he wants to risk everything on having a reasonable season - and going through in the first round of CL matches.

  4. Trouble is we I'm not sure we have a main owner who is that interested in our performance beyond what the balance sheet looks like.....

The owner is not the problem. If you look at his other sports holdings, they all are at or near the top of their respective sports. His MLS(Colorado Rapids) soccer team won the title last year. Arsenal's problem versus his other teams is that he has a board to contend with. This makes the team more prone to being run like a corporation than a sports team. The board is interested in protecting the shareholders interest and generating profit. Keep that in mind when you bash Wenger and the owner.

Sorry, Arsenal its damage limitation until January. Forget about CL qualification for a little while, aim for 5th, because you're not going to finish any higher. You should achieve 5th as you're only real competitors are Spurs, and they quite frankly are useless.

'Forget about CL qualification for a little while', ???? During the next month we play 6 matches - 2 are CL games.
