I am no fan of Bernie & Flab but I keep reading on here and quite often in the middle of posts how they are to blame for dragging their heals with the sale of the club, which I also concur with most of the opinions. But I think people are overlooking the part the FA have had in our delay because surely if they had not wasted so much time in coming to a decision with the Ali Faurlin fiasco we would have new owners well before the season began. Let's face it nobody wants to buy a club with uncertainty hanging over it. In other words the FA tried to screw us last year and their actions may well scupper our progress, surely they have got something to answer for. Thoughts...
Careful, Flanman. You're on dodgy ground if you don't accept that Bernie and Flavio, Tango and Cash, The Goons, etc, are not responsible for every problem known to man.
Yes they are to blame, even for the FA saga as it was Flav that left things like transfers to the incompetent Palidini. We got off lightly in light of the evidence that was given. If the FA weren't so incompetent then we probably wouldn't be in the PL now. But I do agree that some would put the blame of any disaster that happens currently in the world at the feet of the goons. I do appreciate that they did save the club, but that wore pretty thin when they continuously remind us of the fact in pitiful PR exercises to try and get the fans off their backs. We don't know the in's and out's of the talks for the sale of the club. Mittal/Bhatia really cocked up when they started publicly saying they were going to invest massively in the club before actually purchasing it. Then talking publicly about trying to buy the club before actually asking if it was for sale, as Bernie pointed out in his public rebuff. So since then we've had 2 pissed of billionaires trying to get the best deal. A deal will happen and hopefully soon as I don't think we will survive unless we can strengthen before the transfer deadline.
What is stopping the mittals from parting with some loose change and funding a few much needed transfers before the window closes???? I'm no fan of the two clowns but watching mittal, a part owner of the club, stand aside with his squillions is very frustrating. At least the goons are trying to offload because they have no interest.
I'm no 'Friend Of Bernie', but to be fair, there's more than enough blame to go round. They are the main culprits, but although they won't invest now, they did put some money in when we most needed it. I guess a Billionaire doesn't get to that wealthy state by spending all his money, so knowing them through reports like we all do - I'm not altogether surprised. The Mittals haven't been perfect by a long way either - not least that they are also not willing to enter the transaction for a penny off their own valuation of the club. And given that they walked rather than stay and deal with the situation, there's definately some responsibility there. Paladini? He doesn't come across as in any way malicious, just stupid and naive. I can't help but picture Mr Magoo running an optician's shop whenever I think of him. Everything he touches is done in such a cack-handed fashion, that I shudder to think what he's likely to cock up next. The FA do have some responsibility as well, however. The whole Faurlin saga should have been sorted way before it was, and that took away my ability to celebrate promotion. The only time it actually felt real to me was at the final whistle on Saturday, and that wasn't a great feeling. The only people at the club that don't come in for criticism from me are the players and staff - Neil, his coaching and medical staff, the players, the backroom staff - all do what they can the best they can, but some of the restrictions and rules pervading the club are dumb and can sometimes beggar belief. I just want the takeover to happen quickly. Because it's certainly NOT a case of 'better the devil you know'...

I'd personally like to see more pictures from 1970s British sit-coms on this board - and I'm sure Eamon agrees with me
"Last night I reached for my liquid Viagra, but instead I accidentally swigged a bottle of Tippex. I woke up this morning with an enormous correction".... very good WLW..i might half inch that for a cock and bull story i am writing- is it copyrighted? I suspect Gianni is an Italian version of Harry Worth or Charlie Drake.. more hapless than Machiavellian..
Not totally, but they must take the fair share of the flack. We spent more money on players last year when we were in the championship than we have currently this term, work that one out??? And If I hear either of them saying the line 'We saved this club....' one more time I think I will be sick.
Initially, their influences and money (to make themselves a profit - let's not pretend it was philanthropic) were welcomed. Flavio's revolving door - management style soured that, and recently when the Mittals were kicked off the board despite good work, the fans turned against them. They're past their sell by date - if they leave the club in good hands now, I'll never say another bad words against them (as long as they don't come back)
But no one's talking about every problem known to man are they? We're just talking about QPR problems. So where does the buck stop for you?
It could be that Fernandes is jacking around trying to get enough money together. Even I wouldn't hold the Goons would not be responsible for that.
Hope not at this late stage - I would think it was legal due diligence - Looking into things like Panamanian loans etc
I think Flavio has actually become a genuine supporter of the club in his own way but now has no funds to back us with. I almost felt sorry for him getting all the stick on Saturday when his hands are tied. Ecclestone is the real deal slime-ball and would sell his mother let alone a football club. He has never had any interest in the club other than to do what he is now doing - create a reasonably attractive business proposition using the minimum of investment and then sell on for a profit. Oh, and he's Chelsea scum also - 'nuff said.
