Jimmy, You were given an opportunity at Hull City to play football and probably be one of the most famous players in our history. You are undoubtedly good at what you do on the pitch but maybe the demands of playing for a club where you are the focus of attention is too much for you. You came promising much, stating that you arrived to play football and it was your desire to be successful with Hull that brought you to us over any financial package. Where did it go wrong? Over the last 12-18 months itâs clear for almost everyone to see that you have lost this desire to play for Hull City. That in its self is fine, I canât think of anyone who has not or will not get stuck in a rut with their employer or chosen employment. But you are/have become unprofessional! Many fans were happy to see you playing well last season at Ipswich, partly in the hope that this could reinvigorate you and you would come back to us with the desire you showed in November 2009. We (the supporters and on face value the club) were willing to take you back into the fold and let you shine. It looked like a promising season was on the cards. You could have become our terrace hero! But instead what do we have??? We have a player that despite being given an opportunity, you allegedly decide it will be more fun to go out on the lash and turn up late and drunk to training. This is not funny or someone playing Jack the lad. This is NOT the behaviour of a professional sportsman or a rational human being. This is the behaviour of a selfish lout! You were taken to the overseas training camp to be part of the team. Part of our future! But you decide that you want away and you donât care what happens to either your career or this football club! You have shown utter contempt towards the fans who welcomed you and supported you through your injury and you show a total lack of respect towards the manager, your fellow professionals and the board of the club. I have noticed that recently there is another footballer who wants away from his club for personal reasons which he has made clear. But instead of acting up he gets on, honours his contract and appears to be professional until he has the opportunity to move on. Thatâs why when Carlos Tevez leaves Manchester City most fans will wish him well rather than wish why we ever bothered! Jimmy, itâs gone beyond stating you want to fight for your place in the team and you will wear the shirt with pride. Do the only honourable thing and resign. Walk away from your contract and leave this proud club be! Regards A supporter of Hull City AFC.
Dear Jimmy, Please fix it for Mr Bullard to go and play football somewhere else. Best Wishes, Theo, aged 6, Hessle.
Nice letter. Hope he gets it but sadly it wont make any difference. JB has now made his bed here for good.
