What about little andrei taking the amc fabregas role and running straight at the defences, give them something to ponder. He's been winging about not wanting to be on the wing since he arrived. I say, give him a go and see if his form improves when he gets what he wants. I believe he'd be very effective.

Definitely worth a try. Wenger made him play the lone striker role for a period, which he did as best he could, so why not play him behind RvP?

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But it should be tried.

You would think he has played there in training and if he is still not being picked there ahead of Rosicky then he must be doing something wrong. Problem is someone like Rosicky is busy therefore covers ground in midfield, Arshavin is more static so could leave the midfield exposed more then it normally is. Only way it will work is if you have two proper DM's like Song and Frimpong playing in midfield with Arshavin ahead of them.

That wouldn't be half bad. We'd be better defensively and maybe Arsh would start playing better in his preferred position.

He's the best available player for the position I think.

Me think so too....besides last year he complained of being played out of his central mid (playmaker) role as to blame for his lack of form right?

This would work. 4-3-3 with Song, Frimpong at DM with Arshavin playing in the hole behind RVP and with Walcott and Gervinho on the flanks.

Wilshire has to play though no? I would put him ahead of Frimpong in the pecking order. Ramsey needs games too if he is to get back to his 2010 level.

    Wilshere is injured.

For the next game, it'd be worth a punt. Frimpong is a "traditional" DM, while Song can play more box-to-box.

The other option is to retain probably Ramsey and have him play box-to-box, while Song sits, and Arshavin plays in the hole.
