With everything going on this transfer window there are a lot of fans who appear to have lost patience with Wenger and I have become one of them, so for the first time I think its time for Wenger to go. A simple poll, who still thinks he is the best option or who thinks he should go?
Said he should leave after the defeat to Bradford and then said same thing after the defeat to Blackburn. He saved some face by getting the team to go on that run towards the end of the season, and I thought maybe he deserved one last chance to really try and improve the team and take us to the next level, but he has utterly failed and made us the laughing stock of English football. As I said somewhere else, the guy is a complete parody of himself now.
David Dein. He's Wenger's right hand man, they are neighbours and good friends and still consult each other on matters at Arsenal. Dein wants to come back into the fold, Wenger needs help. The board should make it happen.
Im with wenger to the death and beyond, it will be like that movie 300, al take the lot of you, tho arsene can **** of if he thinks he is being gerard buttler. Jayram will be that weird zersees bloke who is king of the persions
Piskie, you made that comment after the defeat to Bayern. Surely as you said, now is the time for change?
No way will this board sanction the return of Usmanov's ally David Dein. Besides that, are we really looking to bring a man who is in his seventies back in to the fold to team up with a manager who is in his sixties now and looks far more haggard than that? Real progress would be wiping the slate clean, installing a young, new manager with fresh ideas and his own knowledgable people around him and moving into the modern era rather than dwelling on the past attempting to relive former glories. Wenger out for me.
I think the change should be bringing Dein back in to work alongside Wenger. There's a lot not working right at Arsenal at the moment, but for his faults I think Wenger is probably the one person holding it all together.
I'm neither a WOB or AKB.I'm a supporter of Arsenal FC always have been and always will be and I'll support them through thick and thin.If you think things are bad now you should have tried being a fan in the mid 70's.The team was ****e and the club was on the bones of it's arse.We regularly played to crowds of less than 20,000 and if you think some of today's team are ****e you're lucky you never had to put up with some of the dross we had back then.
Is Dein going to help Wenger find some tactical nous or help Wenger develop a winning mentally again? It's been eight years since we won anything, and every time we got close, the manager has not been able to push us over the line. Both and on and off the pitch we have failed to progress.
I don't think we should settle for mediocre, but I think we need to be careful about how we think we can put it right. Sacking Wenger is not the answer for me. Sure the bloke has his faults, but he's still one of the best there is. Even through the last eight years of selling our best players and having **** all to spend he's still got us in the Champions League EVERY season. The Spuds would cut of their right bollocks to be in our position even if they don't admit it freely. This summer has been a debacle with Gazidis telling everybody that we're loaded and then between the manager, board, scouts and negotiating team there has been a monumental **** up. That's what needs changing, not the manager. When it comes to football and getting the best out of the team, he's still got it. If he had the right people around him to take care of transfers, like he used to with Dein, then he could concentrate on the Football again and get Dein to get the players he needs.
That's because we've consistently lacked the two or three top class players that our teams have needed, or we've had them and sold them.
, I hope those days never return and I doubt they ever will.People like taking the piss out of my age but you have to experience the bad times to appreciate the gold
But Wenger has the most power at Arsenal, so when we fail as badly as we have done this summer, surely the guy with the most power is the one responsible? I am not even including Kroenke because I doubt he even gives a ****. Wenger has his set value for every player and the fact he is not willing to go above it, is why we have missed on player after player this summer.
