Was at the match yesterday and although we won, the manner of the win was less than impressive. The new signings aquitted themselves reasonably well but i'm afraid Frimpong has no place in the side. A lot of first touches were poor from some of the established players and an embarassment was narrowly avoided. I thought Koscielny had quite a good game. Arsene seemed relatively disinterested in geeing up the team and left it to Pat Rice to bark the orders. (Maybe practising for Tuesday) Attacking wise little has changed from the past and i can only hope that the return of Gervinho, Song, and Wilshere will bring more stability but i can't help thinking Arsene has lost the plot and we will be lucky not to have a very disappointing season.
If that's the best you can do, don't bother. Some of us think things could be a lot better than they are.
No, you are just one of that little group of miserable ****ers who will never be happy. You wanted buyers bought, he bought players. You want 3 points from a game, he got 3 points. Still you won't be content so go do one and support a cricket club rather than piss on Arsenal every day you sad git!
You have no right to tell others what to do or who to support and resorting to personal abuse and name calling does not make your case any better, we are all entitled to our views, do you think you own the club? I doubt if you were at the game, because if you were you would have seen that we came close to losing to Swansea barring from the woodwork and an unbelievable miss from close range. The new players were not to blame but Wengers inability to change tactics or respond to the opposition's strengths and weakenesses is breathtaking. I can do no better than quote AW's own words 'If you (continually) sell your best players, you cannot convince people you are still ambitious'.
Then STFU...because I'd rather we win every game by a scraappy 1-0 and win the league, than we dominate some games and lose the others People like you are NEVER content
I'll be content when we get back to winning things, instead of relying on the opposition to gift us soft goals to get 3 points. BTW have you already forgotten 8-2, i think that proves things are not as hunky dory as some seem to believe.
If he has no right to tell you what to do, then neither do you have any right to tell him what he can or can't do.
You told 'him' 'he' has no right to do what 'he' did, which of course 'he' does. 'He' was merely stating 'his' views.
No, he was being personally abusive quote " No, you are just one of that little group of miserable ****ers who will never be happy" & " Still you won't be content so go do one and support a cricket club rather than piss on Arsenal every day you sad git!" Hardly a constructive exchange of views. i was pointing out that this is a forum for views not unjustifiable name calling and 'he' is trying to prevent this by abusing others who don't agree with his views
arsenal have had an absolutely sh*te start to the season, will it get any better, not on the 20/9/11 it won't. arsenal 1 shrews 3
I really don't know what more you were expecting. The result was all important and to achieve the win without conceding nearly as important. That happened and now the rebuilding will start. No one will forget the 8-2, but we don't need to dwell on the past too much either. Onwards and upwards.
A win is a win. Though it may have been scrappy, we got 3 points, thats what counts at the end of the day.
This team had a lot of it's guts taken out over the summer departures and the lack of good early season results. I think we were also expecting or at the very least hoping for a turnaround yesterday. It was probably a little too optimistic seeing that players have to gel together while others had tough international meetings and we had one returnee from suspension. The goal itself was a gift but we came close to scoring ourselves and could have had a two goal lead. Some rusty footwork and play but this should become more polished as the season unfolds. Right now we need to concentrate on Dortmund and if we give an account of ourselves as we did at Udinese, then we should be happy. Time for us here to regroup too
