So, Arsenal have won their first trophy in 7 years. The prestigious trophy came courtesy of beating Anderlecht 1-0 even though they then lost to Southampton in penalties in their final game in the 3 team competition. A bus parade is planned around London in the coming days and Robin Van Persie has now commited his future to the club saying "I wan't to be at a club that wins trophies and it's clear that Arsenal are the team for this. I can see this team going from strength to strength and our next target has to be the famous Emirates Cup." Now they have one in the bag, I can only see them going to do the quintuble this season and dominating the England game for years to come.
Emirates Trophy isn't on this year due to the Olympics... I did hear LOCOG considered pushing the Olympics back to a allow for Emirates cup
