Just a quick few words about our Arsenal England players after the Moldova game: Oxocube looked good and got a good assist, was happy wih his performance and i think he'll do very well with England as few have the technical skill he has. Walcott came on and got an assist and looked good. There was one time he could have gone outside but came inside but other than that he was quick and looking to make somehing happen. I noticed when Walcott was on the ball the movement by other players was very poor, he is so quick to break away that no-one else was quick enough to react and give him proper options. He took his man on every time and the pass he made before the assist was a beauty (and he was then clever enough after recieving the ball in space [good positioning] to lay the ball off rather than take the shot himself as it would have been blocked). Hodgson should give him an opportunity to start as he deserves it. With him and oxocube on each wing we have a very quick attack. I cannot wait for a future England team with Wilshere (c), Gibbs, Walcott and Oxocube. I think all 4 will become regular England First 11 players.
I wouldn't be sure about Wilshere yet tbh, seems very injury prone Dont get me wrong I think he could be a world class talent, just hope he remains fit after this injury
Hahaha - How does Wilshere seem Injury prone? He is like 19 and has suffered one injury which has had little niggles as he has rehabilitated. That is not the same as injury prone. A player prone to injury is one who constantly gets injured. Jack is like 19 and had one injury lay-off. It's ridiculous to say he is injury prone. Everytime a player spends more than a few months out everyone stars going on about how injury prone they are! As for Gibbs - He will get his chance soon enough. Cashley has seen his best days and probably only has a couple of years left at the top. Baines isn't all that and i can't see him being made our first choice LB - he'd be a stop gap. Gibbs or Bertrand will probably get the next chance at making it there own. personally i think Gibbs has what it takes to occupy the spot. I don't think Hodgson rates Gibbs or Walcott, but for some reason Milner is the first name on the team-sheet and Carroll alwasy gets a call-up! I can't see Hodgson staying around after the World Cup. I think he makes teams play a far more organised game and i think he is a decent manager but i don't think he is cut out for International managing and after another dissapointing WC it will be his turn to step aside and let the next plonker have a go! Walcott deserves more game time with England than he is getting and Gibbs is still a little way down the pecking order but will get there.
http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/engla...ive-timeline-of-the-jack-wilshere-injury-saga Sorry mate, he has a bit more than one injury lay off...
It's just one extended layoff for different niggles really, it's not like he's Abou Diaby, who, if past form is anything to go by, will get crocked for france on Tuesday.
@Why always Ji You link an aricle to prove me wrong but the article backs up what i said. He isn't injury prone. It is a single injury lay-off which has been plagued with silly niggles and set-backs. Which is exactly what i said. To decide that at 18-19 a player is injury prone is ridiculous. Firstly because they have just started there careers and secondly because how exactly are you going to break into the first team at a prem club if you have spent your time pre 18 injured? Your logic is flawed. So like i said - he isn't injury prone. He has just been out for a long time - big difference. It's like Vermalen was out for a year with an achillies problem and everyone started going on about how injury prone he was despite that being his first serious injury...
He is currently 20 and yes I admit it may have been little niggles and stuff like that but all of contributed to injuries...However im not writing him off just yet, just saying I hope he doesnt get anymore as he will be a unbelievable talent... Frazier Campbell and David Meyler (I admit arent as good players) were out for 2 years with injuries and there careers are more or less seen as over by some pundits and other fans... Just saying there will be worries for him
RVP was out for the best part of 6 years and came back as the best striker in the league. Ramsey came back from a year ou to form an important part of our team las season despite a loss of form towards the end of the season (and his injury was a leg break in 6 different places). Diaby also had a terrible leg break and has struggled for fitness, but looks like he might manage to string some games together and he looks very good. Sagna came back from a leg break to look very good quickly (although he did then break his leg again!!!). Plenty of players spend a load of time out through injury and return to do just fine. And at such a young age i'm sure he has plenty of time to overcome his injury issues (in-fact i think we have dealt with the problem that was causing the set-backs). We also have alot of very good midfield players at Arsenal and so are able to bring him slowly back into the team (which was the problem with Ramsey as he had to play every game!).
Plus as far as an England career is concerned just check out Michael Owen - he's had a good International career and he is the most injury prone player going! I fully expect to see Wilshere play every game he is fit for, for England. I would not be suprised at all f he capains England for the next 10 years or so.
That I can agree with, I would like our Woy to do what Speed did and give Wilshere the captaincy and say its his for the next 10 year so other players get used to it... On another note, being down London try and get some hype about Colback going!! deserves to be in the England set up (especially over Jordan Henderson)
