Banner headline on SSN last night about us signing someone called Roarie Deacon, a striker from Arsenal. I've never heard of him. Has anyone else? Would appreciate some info!!
Sunderland have completed the signing of out-of-contract Arsenal youngster Roarie Deacon. The 19-year-old winger has signed a one-year deal with the Black Cats after impressing during a trial for Sunderland Reserves towards the end of last season. He will start next season in the second string. Deacon is a former Gunners' academy player who became a reserve team regular last term, scoring four goals in 16 appearances. The diminutive winger, who can also play up front, has bags of pace and skill. Many Gooners supporters expressed surprise that he was not offered a new deal at the end of last season. The Londoner was a key part of the Arsenal Under 19 team which reached the semi-finals of the prestigious Dallas Cup youth competition last season, scoring three goals to help them progress.
sorry if this has been done lads, if so give link and delete this. Anybody seen or heard of this kid we've snapped up from Arsenal? I know he's for the development squad but unsure as to winger, forward, midfielder etc.

Hi Sunderland fans. Roarie is a decent player, played mostly in the wide attacker positions last season for our (Arsenal) reserves. Scored a few, created quite a few opportunities. We played in a youth tournament called the Dallas Cup at the end of last season, and Roarie was probably the star of our team, scoring 3 and creating a couple in 4 games. He came to the end of his contract and I was a little dissapointed he was allowed to leave, but as you may be aware we have a fair few players in his position. I would imagine he will be nowhere near your first team in the next 12 months, and the contract is too see if both parties are happy 9its a big move from down here to up north for the player). Hope he does well, he is a good lad. He also looks like the rapper Big Gipp from Cee-Lo (of Crazy/ Forget You fame) first group, Goodie Mobb...
