Arsène Wenger has revealed the following team news ahead of Saturday's game against West Ham United:

    on Oxlade-Chamberlain…
It's a classic hamstring. That means he will be out for three weeks, four weeks maximum. He will not be available for England as well.

    on the frustration for Oxlade-Chamberlain…
It's very frustrating for him because he played more games than ever this season. In the last two months I feel he was a bit in and out. He has shown again on Monday night what an important player he can be for Arsenal and for England. It's a shame that in the final sprint and he's not there.

on how the Ox reacts mentally…
How much I don’t know but it is affecting him because he loves to play. He is keen to play for England and I think it is a big blow for him. He knows as well that it is the type of injury where you can recover quickly and come back. But it is not an ideal moment.

    on England squad announcement…
It's coming too soon for Jack Wilshere and Oxlade-Chamberlain.

    on Jack Wilshere
I don’t know how long it will be before he returns because we have to respect the progression of his training.

    on Flamini and Gabriel
Flamini is back in the group today and available for selection. Gabriel should be back on Sunday.

    on when Arteta will return…
In fact he’s in full training today. I think three weeks.

Give Sanchez a breather before Monaco game, the same with Bellerin, as we're going to need lot's of pace, a good weeks rest should do them both some good, and think we have more than enough without Sanchez in the starting 11 to beat West Ham.

I agree with team and reasoning thobid like to see walcott start instead of welbeck. I cant help worrying that theres something wrong behind the scenes for walcott not to even get off the bench in the last handful of games

Poor Theo must have thought that he finally got his chance to get on the pitch, only for Wenger to change his mind. It's got to the stage where I can understand it if Walcott wants to leave. He is at an age where he needs to play and long term injury or no long term injury, the bloke is not even getting sub appearances anymore.

Yeah was thinking of putting Walcott, but then thought Welbeck deserves to start again as he just scored against United, so he deserves a place, and could be on some confidence, maybe he can find some form now.

Anyways if OXO is out with a hamstring injury now, then Walcott will be getting his chances sooner rather than later.

Lots of talk it's down to contracts with Theo which, based on last time when he had us over a barrel, I can well believe. I'd rest Alexis for this one too if possible. I actually thought he was our least effective attacker against United, he certainly gave the ball away the most. You'd hope we'd have enough strength in depth to win this one at home without him starting. I doubt he will be though. I think Ospina, Rosicky and OG will switch with AOC, Chezzers and Danny and that'll be about it.

We can play Danny on the wing and leave Sanchez on the bench.

The good piece of news is that after Newcaslte there are internationals, but Sanchez plays in London, a big bonus so he won't have to do much traveling.

But again internationals, what a ****ing waste of time.

I think we're gonna go for it in this one. Fully recharged after a few days in Dubai. Valencia and Sakho running riot and Song playing a blinder. We have forgotten how to defend though.

    Draw.

Fat Sam has got a pretty good record against Arsenal and I think he'll instruct West Ham to 'get in their faces'. We are starting to be able to handle that sort of approach now though and I reckon we'll be able to handle Valenica and Sakho too. We haven't had the break that the Hammers have had though and we've played Monaco, Everton, QPR and Man Utd in quick succession in the last couple of weeks. So it might be time for Wenger to rotate some players for this one.

That's actually a myth that fat sam has something over Wenger, yeah couple times AWAY from home it hasn't been so good, but nearly every time we play fat sam at home, we beat him. I think only twice he came to our place and got something, and that was in Highbury in 2005 and 2006.

I was thinking of the Bolton years, but yes a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then.

Can't honestly remember the last time we haven't beat Fat Sam or West Ham to be honest. Especially at home.

I think there was a 0-0 game once, which we dominated? Could be confusing it, but that's one that comes to mind, not sure really.

But last time I am certain when we didn't beat a Fat Sam team was Bolton back in 2006 at Highbury.
