Going to hazard a guess that the H2H was because we used to be Watford's whipping boys up until more modern times.
Back from holiday - have to mention that our results while I was away were absolutely shocking, don't know wtf we have been playing at. Pleased to see we have had a straight forward victory against Hull and looking forward to this Watford game. Whilst the league is the prize we all want it would be a fantastic achievement to win the FA Cup for a third year running and as it stands we still have a chance.
Glad that Merts should be back, Elneny looks to be building into a tidy player for us. Hopefully Ramsey isn't out for too long, as even though he's been average for quite awhile, he can play a number of positions and can, at least, be solid. I think if he's out for months it'll put a strain on our squad. Two FA Cup games in a row could be just the tonic we need to recover from a truly dreadful run in the league. (hopefully) Be nice to see Iwobi and Rene in midfield again at the same time. (You'd hope and pray [well being an aethist, just hope very hard] that these two goals have knocked some sense into Theo and he'll at least put the effort in that Campbell does!)
You and your jinxy feckin' holiday!!! It's your fault that we are likely to get knocked out of the CL, Jonah. ....and you never sent a postcard
I would start strong in this game. I would play Ozil, Sanchez and Welbeck. Try win the game as quickly as possible then ring in the changes in prep for Barca. please log in to view this image
Yes. It is a CL KO stage game vs Barca. We are still AFC. We can't just lie down. Anything can happen in football. The minimum I demand as a fan is effort and will to win.
I would bring back Alexis, because he was showing signs of returning to some sort of form against Spurs, and he needs the games to get back to his best, Campbell on the other side and Walcott back to the bench, he scored twice, but he was utterly awful against a terrible Hull side.
Agreed I think Campbell and Sanchez should be our wide men for this game, the English lads need to step up to earn a position. I also think both Giroud and Walcott play better when they have competition for there place, when getting complacent there form really drops away.
