Ben White and Mikel Merino seen in full training today. Would be a big boost to have them back. I know Mikel said Calafiori probably wouldn't be fit for the first leg, but I am hoping we will have Calafiori back for the second leg.

First leg is key. Without Partey I feel like it's gonna be tough.

I have more confidence for the away fixture as Rice-Partey-Odegaard has proved to be such a solid midfield.

Can we ban the tiresome and dull Toon fans who do nothing but post the same memes and gifs over and over from our board? It's like having your social feed taken over by bots and ads. They put me off coming to Not606 these days. It makes me yearn for the days of HIAG, not this incessant and annoying ****e.

Is Tossard ever good when he starts a game?

Our MF looks really unbalanced without Partey.

This is a perfect example of why we need to keep him this summer

Arteta is too rigid in these situations..

I would take off Trossard move Saka up top and put Nwaneri RW.

    Can’t really argue with that.

PSG have been really well organised and barely gave us a sniff.

    Could have been worse too.

I mean I thought we would lose or draw today.

Not great but we need that Partey - Rice midfield to beat the best teams.

We can win in Paris - its not over.

I'll give him one more chance and if he carries on being an idiot, I'll ban him.

See above - seems to be a consensus that Arsenal forum members want you banned if you continue WUMming pointlessly. When you actually want to engage in a proper discussion, you're a decent bloke, but if people are getting fed up of you spamming match threads with the same content, I will have to take their concerns seriously.

I'll give you one more chance and if you do it again, you're banned I'm afraid.

    On the game itself:

I think we're lucky to only be 1-0 down. I'd say the tie is now 70-30 in PSG's favour, but it could have been all over as a competitive contest tonight.

We had some chances, but PSG had clearer chances and could have easily scored a few more tonight.

I just feel like we were too pedestrian and too predictable. Build-up play was slow and laborious, we didn't synchronise our pressing sequences properly, we weren't aggressive enough when we tried to press them on the ball and we kept trying to rely on our wide players creating everything.
When they doubled up on our wide players, we didn't have much of an answer.
We should have looked to drive more through central areas and penetrate via half spaces more. We didn't do it enough. But you saw when Lewis-Skelly bulldozed his way through the middle, plays a lovely defence-splitting pass into Martinelli, who should have scored.

Rice was good after the first 20 mins, but he made a huge mistake for the first goal. He got attracted to the ball where Kvaratskelia was and, as a result, Dembele had acres of space to take that shot because Rice wasn't in position.

Odegaard...I'm sorry but he's stunk up the midfield for almost the entire season and Arteta refuses to drop him. He was absolutely deplorable again tonight. When we need our captain to put in a captain's performance, he put in a 1/10 showing. Why was he not taken off sooner?
Didn't drive forward with the ball, didn't bypass their midfield, didn't create any clear cut chances, didn't orchestrate or dictate the game and kept dinking the same cross from that right half space every time and it was telegraphed by PSG's defence every time. When is he going to get dropped?

Trossard...missed a huge chance but was also rubbish the entire game. He looked totally out of his depth. That being said, we were trying to put crosses in and play long balls into 5'7 Trossard when he's up against two 6ft + CBs...what was the game plan here? I just don't see any variety in how we attack or in-game management that could have cost us a result.

So overall, not a good performance and result on the whole. However, we still have a chance. Although I think PSG should (rightly) fancy themselves to reach the final from this point.

Just astonishingly bad. Every time I think he can't get worse and he proves me wrong.

That bloke just needs to pop me on ignore. I posted one gif on the thread, so it's clear he's just on a crusade and it's probably not the first time.

I'm happy to just leave the board, but I'm not going to be pushed around and bullied by that individual.

He's been happy dishing it out and that other one Bear has been popping on our board after Newcastle defeats( all fun and games).

It's lighthearted fun, so there's no need for the hostility. If I don't post gifs it won't make any difference, because it's a hate campaign, and nothing to do with content.

Anyway have a nice day and sorry for the trouble.
