Our commentators are absolute ****e and so biased. Rashford appealing for a corner because Sokratis put the ball behind, and they are convinced it is a penalty. Muppets!
Kolasinac throws up. Gets back on the pitch and is straight back into the action. Probably our MOTM today IMO.
Get in. Great result. Thought we looked decent, a few too many mistakes with the ball but I think the Sokratis-Kos-Mon back three is our best option at the moment. Kolasinac was excellent. We played a 3-4-1-2 in our wins against Chelsea, Spurs and United now. Would like to see Emery use it more often.
2-0. FT. That is a HUGE win. I didn't think we had it in us and wasn't happy we played 3 at the back. We rode our luck at times, but second half, we were absolute monsters defensively. Emery's taken 4 points from Man United and 4 points from Spurs this season. Our record and performances in the bigger games have dramatically improved from last season. The much maligned Xhaka had an outstanding game in midfield, irrespective of the goal. Kolasinac was exceptional both offensively and defensively. Koscielny and Sokratis were brilliant. Maitland-Niles had a shaky first half, but was immense in the second-half. Lacazette and Aubameyang's work-rate was just the tonic we needed, as it set the tone for the rest of the game. I thought the officials made a series of terrible decisions against us throughout the game, which completely disrupted our rhythm. Matic, Pogba and Rashford were allowed to repeatedly foul us without getting penalised. But I felt we were fortunate with the penalty. However, I don't give a **** We've been screwed over a lot in recent weeks, so I will take that. I'm delighted we managed to burst the Ole bubble, whose hype was getting out of hand. Shoutout to Leno, who commanded his area well and kept us in the game with some critical saves. Very composed and strong performance from the German. Great set of results this weekend, well chuffed
Utd fans on Radio 5 live crying about our 'dodgy' penalty They didn't seem too bothered about that on Weds against PSG.
Great great great performance and result. Everyone played really well, and especially Leno; haven’t seen too many mention him. He was brilliant today, kept out United phenomenally. I think at this point we can get top 4. Again CAN...not will. Our other rivals still have to play each other as well, but of course we have to focus on our games and approach the rest of them like today. Hopefully we have room for 1 or 2 slip ups as well.
