I want a similar start to the one we gave against these ****s at the Emirates last season, it was fast, aggressive and we put them on the back foot straight away. We pressed like Dortmund at their best. Rosicky was immense and the man leading the charge and he needs to start again. Was tempted to drop Ozil, but he is too talented and I hope the Liverpool game serves as a kick up the backside for him and he starts to find his best form.
This has all of a sudden become one of our most important games of the season. Win it and we're back on track, with confidence flowing and pressing City for top spot, lose it and it could be a fatal blow. Personally I think the lads will be well up for this one, after the horror show at Anfield. We've got a point to prove, especially against Utd and this is the perfect time to end our abysmal record against them in the last few seasons.
I hope that Wenger goes with Gibbs at LB too, as Utd will try and use the flanks to get crosses in for ****y. Monreal has not been up to the required standard in the last few games.
Going to be interested to see what they do with Mata for this game. If he plays on the wings, we can expose him defensively.
That's another reason why we need Gibbs to play, he can tear wingers and fullbacks apart with his pace. If they put Mata on the left then I think Sagna has still got the beating of him.
Also, another reason to start Rosicky is that he has got the beating of Carrick, Fletcher or Mata if he plays in the middle.
I think we won't have a better chance to make a statement by beating this lot. We've had a bad result and we need to rebound. This is the perfect opportunity to set things right again. If we start off confidently and press them high up the pitch, I think we can really hurt them. If we start nervously they will be encouraged.
Last beat them 3 seasons ago at the Emirates when Aaron Ramsey scored the winner. Our real issue with them is that we can't seem to buy a goal against them these days. If we were scoring and losing, fair enough but we can't put one past their keeper!
What do you reckon, you'll fly out the blocks for once, or the usual cumbersome 20 minute shifting through the gears?
The latter more likely than the former. We came at them from the first whistle last time we played at the Emirates though. Played them off the park for the first 20 minutes.
Won't have a better chance with that clown moyes in charge. You should beat us without getting out first gear.
I have no idea what to make of this match...moyes can not afford a bad performance anc united cant afford a bad beating...but **** me are they bad at times...you lot must be smarting after yesterday and can't afford to miss out on more points... Before yesterday I could only see your lot winning
