Arsenal take on Manchester City in this Quarter-Final of the Carling Cup. Wenger will take his team into the Quarter-Finals for a ninth consecutive season in the Carling Cup. An impressive feat when you consider the amount of young players he has used in this competition. But despite that he has yet to win the League Cup. Last season Arsenal made it all the way to the final only to gift Birmingham the trophy in the very last minute of the game. A cruel blow that many point to as the moment an entire season fell apart. Man City also reached a domestic cup final last season but they managed to win against Stoke in the final. And under Mancini they will look to add the league cup as the second trophy they have won in 35 years. Backed by Sheikh Mansour money they have managed to assemble a very strong squad and because of that Arsenal will have to see a top performance from their squad players if they are to make yet another semi-final.

Park Chu-Young will be looking for a much needed game to make his mark at Arsenal. His one and only goal for the club came in this competition against Bolton in the previous round. As always, young players will also get their chance to shine so expect the likes of Frimpong,Miquel,Oxlade Chamberlain to feature. But the young players will be in aid of much needed experience and Arsenal will expect that from the likes of Diaby,Rosicky,Benayoun and Djourou. Arsenal come into this game on the back of a disappointing draw so a win here will be welcome in order to get Arsenal back on the winning track.

Man City also have players that are in need of match time and former Arsenal player Kolo Toure will be in line for a rare start. Also Owen Hargreaves will be expected to get his 2nd game at Man City. England winger, Adam Johnson is also another player to watch out. Man City come into this game following a defeat and a draw against Napoli and Liverpool. If he plays, Samir Nasri will be in for an interesting welcome back. Mario Balotelli and Gareth Barry are both suspended for this game.

Park NEEDS to score. Then we can stop worrying about being so reliant on Van Persie. For now, we're pretty ****ed.

I think we CAN win, in the same way that we could have beat Chelsea. It will be tough, though.

Will be interesting to see how he does. You got to worry about his lack of game time and the pressure that is on him to impress because all eyes will be on us to see how we cope without Van Persie. Was surprised that he did not feature in any reserve games.

i think we might continue with the 4-4-2:

    ----------------Fabianski-----------------
    --Yennaris---Djourou--Koscielny---Miquel--
    ------------Diaby-----Frimpong------------
    Chamberlain----------------------Gervinho
    ----------Park-----Chamakh--------------

I think a lot depends on how much of a priority the CC is for Wenger this year. Last season we pushed for all four trophies and ended up with none, but before then we have generally played second string teams.

Several players look like they could do with being rested and there are players in the wings who are asking for game time.

As a consequence, I'm not sure yet what team Wenger will put out, but I'd expect Benayoun in midfield.

Late change for my team. Do not think Rosicky is fit. So Yossi in the middle and Gervinho out wide.

Charlton two up at the moment. Looks like our unbeaten record will be safe.
