He started their last game v Brentford and there’s been any reports on him being injured, so I’d imagine he is.

Currently in Greece, so can’t watch the game properly but from what I’ve been reading/half time highlights I saw, we’ve pretty much battered them all game and, bar a miscommunication at the back between Ramsdale and Saliba, we’ve been well worth the lead. It’s 3-1 and 75 mins on the clock so far.

I know it’s early days, and I don’t want to be knee jerk, but Jesus is proving me wrong so far - long may it continue.

Ramsdale <doh> you have to save that. He’s been awful today from what I’ve heard. 3-2. Maddison.

And just as I type that, Martinelli makes it 4-2 <laugh> mental game

Good win. Another 3pts and a brace on his home debut from Jesus

Shame about the goals conceded, but if we conceded 2 every week and scored 4 I'd take it every time.

    Great result.

Jesus was quality 2 goals 2 assists and could easily have scored another 2

Shame Saliba scored that OG - he was excellent again up until that moment. I also think we looked better down the right when Tomi replaced White at RB.

Ok so watched the game properly.

We still have moments where we lack maturity in possession and need to communicate better, but there is clear dynamism and synergy in our front line.

Number 5 had a terrible game, but thankfully for us, Leicester’s midfield weren’t good enough to take advantage. Xhaka carried the can and had a great game as an 8.

We are much better at playing between the lines, less reliant on chance creation from wide areas and we counter press to a good standard.

We need to control games for longer periods and not let game state get too chaotic like we did. However, we are incrementally improving our style of play in a more defined way.

Two good wins to kick the season off, and lots of goals. Still more improvement needed.

Because he shouldn't be at the club for obvious reasons and I don't like the fact that we are acting as if everything is hunky-dory when it isn't.

Yeah, because of a technicality in a law change of how offences abroad are dealt with.

Also, Greenwood hasn't officially been charged with anything either, yet we all know what type of person he is.

Look, I've spoken about this plenty of times, so don't want to keep going on about it, but you can't tell me from looking at the copious amounts of evidence that was posted that Partey is the type of character we should have at the club.

Sometimes you need to look beyond the 'official' lines of communication.

I haven’t really seen anything other than twitter rumours. As for evidence, I’ve seen none of that either. If somebody can provide some evidence that he’s guilty then he should be charged and sentenced.

If not, then people need to drop it and move on

Well - I would argue Arsenal are in a more educated position on all this than we are.
They for one have Partey's explanation - we've only heard one side of this whole thing.

Greenwood is still on bail and could yet be found guilty of rape.

Piskie, this is an overly simplistic evaluation of things and you know it.

I don’t want to go over old ground because I’ve already had this conversation multiple times on another thread, but you are fully aware of how difficult it is for people accused of rape and sexual assault to get actually get convicted is and that’s just for an average Joe. Now imagine the layers of complication for when it’s a star footballer.

Yes - Partey is also still on extended bail and could also be found guilty of rape. He hasn’t been let off the hook just yet.

My point with Greenwood is that the evidence is already out there that he’s a scumbag and piece of ****. But he’s not been charged. So just because he hasn’t officially been charged (yet), doesn’t mean he’s innocent.

    No mate, not really.

I've heard rumours and one sided stories. That's no basis for judging the bloke

I understand the complexities of rape convictions and the difficulties they present. But you can't go setting out your stall, which you seem to have done, without hearing the whole story.

Ermmm for all the Partey "no.5" discussions, should this be not discussed elsewhere away from the matchday thread? Just saying ;)

Like I said, you haven’t seen the evidence and proof which was posted before her account was either deactivated or taken down. This is not ‘just rumours’, there was ample proof posted which was quite clearly authentic.

There was also a tweet from Barnet Police’s official Twitter account alluding to the incident and explaining why the man in question was not charged.

If you had seen it, you wouldn’t be taking this stance.

Absolutely, but Piskie was asking why I referred to him as No. 5 and I gave him my reason. Whether he likes/agrees with me or not is his prerogative, but I will continue to refer to him however I please.
