Ah crap. Well, this isn’t good news. I really hope he will be back sooner than we think.

Saka apparently felt unwell yesterday which is why he’s on the bench and not starting.

Looking at Leeds’ lineup, looks as if they’ve set up to defend for most of the game and to use the speed of a few of their wingers to capitalise on any mistakes. Having two strikers on the bench is a bizarre decision.

Let’s see how this plays out.

Ah never mind, just seen he is going to start. Hopefully it is nothing serious.

A repeat of Bournemouth nearly happens again. <doh>. Ramsdale has to make a save 7 seconds in.

Ah, Jesus nearly makes it 1-0. Good cross from Xhaka but Jesus can’t get on top of the ball and it goes over.

Gabriel Jesus wins a penalty after two lovely feints, Ayling catches him on the knee. He also takes the penalty and scores it comfortably.

Glad to see him on the scoresheet.

I have to admit that goal came against the run of play, as Leeds were packing the middle and looked threatening in 1v1s and overloads out wide. Their transition threat was a problem, too.

Let’s hope we can stabilise and dominate the game.

This game is too open. Leeds almost had a chance to score and then we countered on them, Ayling clears Martinelli’s shot off the line.

We need to control proceedings better.

At this rate, I think we need to just get to half-time at 1-0. It’s all too scrappy and chaotic and end-to-end.

Don’t think Trossard suits being on the right. He keeps trying to come inside and isn’t providing much penetrative/1v1 threat. The dynamics are a bit awkward.

    HT. 1-0.

That half was more end to end that I would have liked. I don’t know if it’s because it’s the first game back after the international break or because there’s been some sort of illness/flu going round a few of the international camps, but we’re not playing with the same intensity or aggression as I’m used to seeing.

Leeds to their credit have played better than I expected with their injuries etc, but we need to gain a foothold of this game otherwise they will be allowed back into it.

Thanks for your input. Unfortunately, Arsenal did not award themselves that penalty. Referee was the one who awarded the penalty and VAR decided to not overturn it on review.

You might get 3pts today BUT don’t think you will be champions, your not good enough, oh before you got your soft penalty we should have been 2up

Why we are having a poor half, Saliba and Saka both out .. yet were still 1-0. Surely that's the sign of Champions winning when your not playing well!

Not the best first half but then - Leeds will have to push up more second half and I can see us scoring more.
