Martinelli and Tossards finishing has been abysmal.

    Hope we bring Nwaneri on.

Dominated the first 30 min then completely stopped pressing - was weird.

    FT. 1-0.

Not the most riveting game ever, but important win to keep our distance between the rest of the pack in the top-4. 4 points ahead of Forest and 9 points clear of Chelsea. We should be aiming to finish 2nd pretty comfortably now. We also should have scored more, but when you don't take your chances, you always run the risk of making the game nervier than needs be. In fairness, Chelsea didn't really off much threat so we saw it out quite comfortably.

Chelsea were getting away with an awful lot, though. Cucurella and Fofana in particular quite lucky to stay on the field. Didn't realise they were such a scrappy, cagey outfit.

Yeah not the best game. I kinda thought it would be like this though (predicted a 1-0)

Our midfield dominated but finishing was Garbage. At least our defence is looking solid again.

On the topic of Timber, I think we shouldn't underestimate how good he's been. For me personally, he should be our player of the season.

Came into this season off the back of an ACL injury, all his backups have been out long-term, and he's been more than reliable - absolutely fantastic for the entire campaign. Solid defensively, technically secure, looked threatening when bombing forward, superb in 1v1s, great recovery pace and very dynamic going forwards. He's been a massive ray of sunshine in what's been a pretty dull 24/25 season for us.

He also scores a few goals too

Was very excited when we signed him and then on day 1 he did his ACL

He's come back and he's every bit the player we thought we were getting <ok>

That game yesterday encapsulated where we are this season. Lots of bright attacking football in the first half, total control of the game, but struggling to put away the chances that we created. Then defending a narrow lead in the second half, we ceded control of the game and spent most of it on the back foot, with no real outlet to kill the game.

Massive respect to Merino for stepping up and getting us the goals that we've needed to see out some games recently, but boy...do we need to spend some money on a striker in the summer
