The Saliba news is not surprising, but Zinchenko? That one came out the blue. Bloody hell man.

He has been mildly trash the last few games so at least Tierney can come in and inject some oomph

I'm hoping this will also convince Arteta to keep Tierney because I don't think we should be selling him IMO. Unless we get an offer of £50m+, there's no real reason to let him go, especially not to (as has been reported) Newcastle. We've seen how much more competent defensively he is to Zinchenko.

Your number 11 got lucky with that "challenge" in the 4th minute. Bizarre of the ref not to at least book him

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton.

A few mins left, and the game looks to be petering out, so I’ll just leave my thoughts here.

This had the feeling of an end of season game. It was all very scrappy and lacked fluidity, and the players seemed to be shattered energetically.

We started the game brightly, but seemed to fade as the game went on and we’ve been really poor second half. Lots of sloppy passing, lack of inventiveness around the box, bizarre defending and a lack of belief that seemed to proliferate throughout the team.

There’s no way of knowing this for sure, but seems as if any remaining belief they had got sapped out of them after the Everton result earlier. Seems like a lot of people earmarked that game as one where City would slip up, but they won it at a canter and our players didn’t seem to play with any real purpose.

Don’t think we can begrudge Brighton the win.

Correction, 3-0 now. Ramsdale needs to deal with that better. But makes no difference to the result or season anyway.

Some pretty strong words from Arteta after the game.
