God - with our current form I'm really not hopeful about this game.

For some reason our defence has become awful, while we can't seem to put away any chances. I'm worried that Welbeck hasn't scored for us for awhile (but is scoring at will for England grrr).

In your suggested team Oxo - have you dropped Merts for poor form, or coz you see Bellerin's speed as a useful tool, or is Merts injured? I'd forgotten that Szczensy is suspended.

I can't see Rosicky starting unfortunately but at least we have options in attack now (assuming Walcott is fit) with Giroud giving a different option from Welbeck.

Either way the players really need to pull their socks up!

We can't drop mert, no matter what.
Would be good to try bellerin out in a game we'll probably lose anyways, but I don't see it happening
And why would szcesny be suspended? Wasn't his red for a professional foul meaning a 1 match ban which he served already?

Szczesny is injured and has been ruled out of this match I believe. I'd drop Per because he's in shocking form at the moment. I'd rather trust Nacho and Chambers together than see him for now. Give him a rest then bring him back for the weekend though I believe his form will massively improve upon Kos's return.

We can't defend for s**t so this game is going to be interesting.

We have the attacking talent to win but .. we could also get spanked.

Bore draw confirmed. I'd take that tbh. We probably won't win the group even if we win so I'd rather have qualification secured so we can give the fringe players a run out matchday 6.

    we will get royally ****ed!!!

arsenal NIL Dortmund 2 Immobile [against our ****ing Immobile defence!]

even though Dortmunds form is crap at moment lets give them a chance by playing a ****ing midget at CB

AW please read this suggestion - you could play Chambers at CB as he is better with 1 leg than Monreal ever will be at CB, then play Bellerin at RB - just a thought.

i predict AW will ignore this suggestion and continue to play Monreal there, and won't buy a CB in January as Koz will be back, then as soon as window shuts Koz or BFG will be out for season and we will be back to having ****ing useless at CB Monreal. any takers !

Have you not been watching the past few games or had the scapegoating gone too far? Because while it's not optimal having Monreal at CB he has been by far the better of the pair of him and Mertesacker. Per has been the liability so far but of course Monreal will shoulder all the blame.

We badly need a win at the moment. This is a game that we don't have to win for the points, but more for the confidence and to lift ourselves out of this ****ty mire.

Indeed. Klopp's comments hint that Dortmund will settle for a point here so we can win this right? All we need is a string of wins to get our mojo back.

Yes I have been watching the last few games and Monreal has been useless but it's not his fault as he isn't a CB and hasn't the physical presence to be a CB as he is 5ft 9 and very light framed built. BFg is off form as he is covering for Monreal and is being pulled out of position and we have no DM cover in front of him

Mate, in you rundown you say we've played Dortmund 7 times with 3 wins and 2 wins and draws a piece, yet in your last 6 games alone they have 3 victories.

Apparently Walcott, Wilshere and Szczesny is out! But Kos is back in training! Woo, we prob won't see him til Sat but that's a big boost. Also Ramsey says the Man U game was the 1st game he's felt sharp and strong in since coming back from injury, so hopefully that means he'll find some form soon (or get crocked and be out for the rest of the season...)

According to Wenger Wilshere will need surgery and could be out for a long time - which is typical now that he's beginning to show some form, he gets crocked...

Ffs. What's with our ridiculous injuries! It's so frustrating, every time a player shows some form they go out injured, same thing happened with Ramsey and ozil!

Monreal has done pretty well for a LB playing at CB. His positioning at CB has improved dramatically in the last few games and he has been playing the covering role for mert very well. The problem is he just isn't built to be a CB and so occasionally gets totally dominated. He also can't head for **** and so gets beaten in the air too often.
