This game will be a welcome distraction to Bolton from the league where they have been on one hell of a downfall. Bolton sit 18th in the league table and have lost 7 out of their 9 games in the league. They have progessed to the 4th round of the Carling Cup thanks to a win over Aston Villa away. Infact, all three of their wins this season have been away from home. Arsenal on the other hand have been stacking the home wins. Having won 7 out of 8 home games this season. As per normal, the CC will see the gunners give a chance to their youngsters. But also its an important game for fringe players like Park, who have had just one game this season. That being the 3rd carling cup win over Shrewsbury Town. Team News: Gibbs, Jenkinson and Diaby all ruled out for this game. Thomas Vermaelen is back in full training again and could make the squad. Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny are expected to be rested ahead of Sunday's league match against Chelsea. Bolton's on-loan defender Dedryck Boyata is ineligible and in any case is nursing an ankle problem. The likes of Adam Bogdan, Zat Knight, Gretar Steinsson, Fabrice Muamba, Mark Davies, Ricardo Gardner, Ivan Klasnic and Tuncay Sanli are set to play. Hmmm. Chamakh probaly does need another run out. Also I was really guessing this team. Its hard with the Carling Cup. Not even sure if Santos or Djourou will play. But then if they are going to be rested, who are the full backs?
Nice fred Looking forward to seeing the three players in your pics - Coquelin, Oxo and Miquel being involved in this game. I think we've got a really strong spine of players coming through. Not sure what sort of team Bolton will put out, but I reckon we've got enough to win this regardless of who they play. Have you made your prediction on the prediction league fred?
