I just came across this on u tube, and signed in to share the video with you all I'm sure you've seen the goals already, but here is a commentary with a difference. Hope you enjoy it,I certainly did. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6ssDKGmXtM
Fantastic and worth every penny i spent in London to see us totally destroy arsenal and worthy of the win, forget them now for a couple of weeks at least and concentrate on the next game as we only need around 17 more points for certain safety and should if form holds up achieve that target with plenty of games spare...
It sounded like a lot of "Michu",and "Allah" to my ears,Norway,so I guess Michu really is a god now,at least in Saudi or wherever. I'm fine, thanks, hope you are the same,my friend.
Really pleased to hear that you had a great trip,Dai. Next up an inform Norwich, should be interesting.
I dont know why but i have more confidence playing the top sides than the bottom sides...We don't seem to play the same fluent way when we play the clubs that are more at our level.....
Our level is 7th in the Premiership. Arsenal were one point above us and are now below us. History, reputations and large stadiums count for nothing because you are only as good as your last game.
we have a few years yet to compare us with arsenal or liverpool, they have done it got the t-shirt and have been on top of their game for years, we are not at the same level yet but we are getting there....anyone can beat a top team its whether you can produce the goods for decades that class you as a top team.
Histories and T-shirts .... blah, blah, blah. History is what you look back on when you're too old and knackered to be looking forward. History didn't save Arsenal on Saturday. It hasn't saved Leeds these last few years, nor Forest, and it's not doing too much to help 'Pool. Unless ghosts can kick a football then history and its ghosts count for nothing .... and if they could I'd really like our bench as much as anybodies (Ivor, Cliff, Mel C ....). What counts is here and now and maybe tomorrow, and when it comes to level, as of today, we are better than 'Pool and Arsenal and Newcastle and all of them below us. And that as they say is a FACT. And another thing, it doesn't matter a spit how "BIG" the club is, when the ref blows his whistle its eleven v eleven, that's all that counts.
History and t-shirts are the past. Yes, you have to be on top for years to be called a big team, but that doesn't mean you aren't at the same level while you're on the way up and they're on the way down. I'd rather we a team on the way up and the next big team than yesterday's news. Who has the happiest supporters - Swans, Arsenal, Liverpool? Arsenal and Liverpool are yesterday's teams. What have they won in recent years? Welcome back Vetch.
Hopefully our defence won't be as bad as Arsenal's was. Although the 1st goal was well worked Michu was given the freedom of the penalty box and the 2nd goal was just awful from the Arsenal point of view. Not saying you didn't deserve to win, by all accounts you did deserve it, but the Gooners defending leaves a lot of questions.
second goal oxlade needs shafted by his teams mates, hower gr8 pressure by dyer, sign michu for life and quintuple his wages, the guy is a revelation
Hi dgswan thanks for the "welcome". I'm not really "back" since this thread was only produced to highlight the interesting and different commentary. There is still too much singling out of individuals and the bullying that goes with it,for me to feel comfortable about coming "back". So I will continue to just pop in occasionally, have a look around, and then slip away sight unseen. Until I unearth another gem, that is.
