Arsenal are on a good run of form, playing some free flowing expansive football, scoring for fun and giving the fans something to get excited about. Sunderland are managed by David Moyes. The closest he has come to putting up a fight was when he threatened to beat up a female journalist (allegedly). Arsenal have a good record against teams beginning with M (Middlesbrough, Man City, Man Utd and Midlands FC) and S (Southampton and stoke) in the past 6 weeks ... unfortunately their attempt to get Chelsea renamed as "shove that phone up yer arse cashley cole FC" has failed so they are working on a tactical rethink to have in place for the cup final. This is a must win match if they are to catch "Next year is Our Year FC" to come in the top 4. Sunderland were relegated back in 2016 but were allowed to remain in the prem cos Villa were so **** that it was considered cruel to inflict both upon the championship in the same season. Sunderland have one tactic of Rodwell kicking you really ****ing hard but Ozils tight hamstring is just a coincidence In french existentialist philosophy they discuss the bleakness of existence...In sunderland they live it...EVERY ****ING SINGLE DAY. Towns and boroughs are of twinned with others on the continent. Sunderland has a suicide pact with Calais Arsenal's tactics will be to not get Rodwelled and to play football which will be enough to make Moyes look like this: Peter Crouch was once asked what he'd be if he weren't a footballer. He famously answered "a virgin". When ask the same question Moyes answered "My mums husband!" Don't start tutting you pc gone mad mo fos...take one look at that photo and seriously tell me you don't see it...yeah, there you go. My prediction...easy Arsenal win...Wenger in week...plane flies over the Emirates and is brought crashing down by a late Rodwell tackle. Good luck To Mr J Defoe
Every time Moyes sees that picture he must be reminded of the unbearable lightness of being ... *See what I did there ?
Another great write up and now I'll be watching the game and counting how many times we get Rodwell'ed...
Doubts on the fitness of Sanchez tonight. Also Koscielny. Ox is still out with a hamstring injury too
Should be a walk in the park. I wonder if Wenger will say that Sunderland rolled over for us if we end up battering them. Somehow i think not.
Was a stupid thing for him to say. Arsenal are renowned for very strong finishes to the season...is he suggesting that is down to teams not trying? Was a real sign of him being desperate imo...or maybe he was trying to do what Fergie used to do when he claimed teams tried harder v United than against whoever was challenging them in order to get a response.
Stadium nowhere near full ... I know evening KO's take a while to fill up, but it looks really sparse !
If you lot drop out of the top 4 it'll be fun. If City and their worlds bestest manager drop out it'll be fun. If Next Year Is Our Year FC drop out it'll be fun. WTF is going on? My beloved spurs have given me a chilled end to the season ... does not compute...does not compute ...does not compute...does not compute ...does not compute...does not compute... does not compute...does not compute ...does not compute...
They are just setting you up for a ****ing shocker next season, getting humped in the CL and bombing at 'home' at Wembely I reckon.
Correctly ruled out that one. Although seeing as the ref allowed the Crouch one against Stoke, they could have evened things up there
Really not wumming...but WTF is up with all those empty seats? Boycottng the team when they need you most? Really comes across as fans being spoilt imho
Tony Gale on Sky "if Defoe does decide to leave Sunderland..." IF... IF ... WTF ? WHY WOULD HE STAY? This is the dross he has to share a dressing room with EVERY DAY ... oh and then there's this... (For those who missed it first time round )
We've had some good chances that we've wasted, but in terms of overall performance, not a good enough first-half to be honest. Sunderland are already relegated and we should be chomping at the bit to hammer them to improve our GD, but it's all just so laboured and slow. A few of our attacks have broken down under Xhaka because he's not mobile enough to create space for himself/for others. We look very open in midfield and at the back, too. One ball over the top and our defence gets pulled apart too easily. Need to up the ante second-half. Sunderland may have nothing to play for in the league, but some of their players are trying to put themselves in the shop window. I have no idea why we're performing so causally.
We've had other chances to score though. Bellerin's miss in particular was terrible. At this level, you simply have to do better than that. Need to be much more clinical in the second half, especially with City now in cruise control in their game.
