Hope you all don’t mind me giving this a go as I’m actually going to this one. Seemed rude not to as we are going up to Sheffield for 2 sessions of crucible snooker tomorrow/Fri morning and getting back in to London Friday teatime. Ref: Simon Hooper 4th official: Andre Marriner VAR: Peter Bankes The Gunners are clearly there for the taking as they bottle the league run in. It’s also about time we commenced the Great Escape. The enforced change with AMN ineligible to play against his parent club should see our best striker, Perraud come back in. Arsenal are still without Saliba but Zinchenko may return. The script says that Walcott will score the winner to deny his former club. Discuss….
Yes a more challenging game would set a marker as to how far we have really progressed. That said, the expected goal rush will provide a confidence booster to our free- scoring stars. Onwards and upwards!
With Elyonoussi weaving his magic and onuachu sat on the bench for 90 minutes we’re bound to score at least 3. Ahh self deprecating sarcasm. The only joy left for saints fans.
Whilst we are in this alternative universe, my thoughts on Friday. Really looking forward to watching Arsenal struggle to cope with our firepower and fail to penetrate the wall we have at the back. 3-0 Saints, Eli, Walcott and Orsic. COYR!!!
Easy home win, we will huff and puff and create nowt in the final 3rd…..sucker punch just before HT……then the wheels will fall off. Oh yeah …..morning all.
So I was thinking about the strongest possible team you could make, from a combination of Saints and Arsenal players. It would look something like this; Bazunu KWP ABK Bednarek Perraud JWP Lavia Alcaraz Edozie Mara Sulemana Bench: Saka and some other Arsenal players.
Normally I look forward to the messages of hope on here, on Saturday mornings, before the reality of kick off. However, as this match is on Friday night, I'll be able to read the overwhelmingly positive post-match comments, explaining how Selles is a master tactician, how Arsenal were never in it, and this is the start of the Greatest Escape of all time.
Probably our easiest game of the season. Bit boring going into the game knowing we’ve already got the 3 points.
Very much hoping our half time lead is big enough that we can bring on Rasmus for the last twenty. I’m a big fan - think he could be our Haaland.
Unfortunately this comfortable win will be so far in the future, most of us will be distant memories to anyone who ever knew us.Going to Newcastle game, so last time I’ll see Saints in PL EVER!
