Arsenal will not sack manager Arsene Wenger, according to chief executive Ivan Gazidis. The Gunners have lost three of their opening five Premier League games and are just one point above the relegation zone in 17th. But Gazidis said: "Arsene Wenger is not broken. To see him portrayed as an idiot is damaging - not to him or the club but to the game. "[Sacking him] is a route we are not going to go down." Gazidis added: "He didn't suddenly become a bad manager or out of touch. That's nonsense." Arsenal's 4-3 loss at Blackburn on Saturday means they have made their worst start to a season since 1953, with their only league win coming at home against newly promoted Swansea Like him or hate him, he has been a top manager down the years, Is it the dreaded vote of confidence and would they really get rid? Fantastic to watch at times and has developed some of the best teams in recent years.. Nah they wouldn't, would they?
Difficult one Comm - normally "votes of confidence" aren't quite as well worded as this and don't show much support - it's normally "The manager has our full support" and that's that - but times are changing!!
Maybe your right, but there is something definetly wrong there at the moment.... The piece was well worded, and maybe he's safe enough for now. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14977442.stm
