How long I wonder before Piskie who only wants grown up debate, can put the result aside and and come back to discuss things. Its a 'salient point' that any prospective signings will be watching early results.
Today was a debacle, I only hope that the silver lining is that we actually do make some signings instead of simply talking about making signings.
This. If top players were prepared, before today, to join lower clubs for less money rather than play for the sinking ship that is Arsenal, one has got to accept that there's no way they'll want to play for them, not after that abysmal performance. Let's not forget that players like Naz and Fab actually chose to leave Arsenal, even though they were being begged to stay and being bribed with stupid amounts of money; nonetheless, they and many others like them decided that enough was enough, and left.
A couple of seasons ago it was only when the first three games saw them score two but concede ten before Wenger acted in the transfer market - other than selling key players, that is.
Your only hope of signing anyone other than average numpties is CL, you could be out of it before the window closes.

They are saying Falcao wants out of Monaco already, now there's a player that Wenger could almost sign.
Why won't anyone sign for Arsenal? Do they offer crap wages? Or is Wenger still looking for his £10M bargains who will be the next Vieira/Henry/Adams etc? He should know by now that limited players like Mertesacker, Chamakh, Gervinho, Rosicky etc etc will continue to be just that. And look at the players he's sold who are still doing the business. RvP & Fabregas obviously, but even Kolo Toure was solid and organised for Liverpool, rather than running about like a headless chicken and hacking down opposition forwards who were too quick for him.
I think the blame has to be placed squarely at the feet of Whinger. If it's true that AFC's board has made a war-chest available, then Whinger clearly hasn't spent it, so he is at fault. If it was all lies, and AFC's board never did intend to make a war-chest available to Whinger, then he has lied (along with the board) to the fans, and is, again, at fault. For my part, I believe that AFC's board have made a war-chest available, but Whinger has staked all of it on buying Goofy, hence permitting the likes of Higuain and Gustavo to slip through his fingers. I also believe that he is too afraid to spend a huge sum of money on one player (other than someone like Goofy, who has proved himself in the EPL), because it will come back and bite him on his arse if the player turns out to be a complete flop. It's easier for him to spend smaller sums of money on talented youths who he can mould after his own fashion, and then sell for reasonable sums if they turn out to be below par. I truly believe that Whinger has finally been found out.
Dunno, but good of him to wear our away shirt!...2 more in the crowd aswell, and on the subject of shirts, not much in the way of Arsenal shirts/gear being worn?? Too embarrassed to wear it walking down the street perhaps?
What year is that Dreamcast sponsorship shirt from?! Not only did the console flop massively, but it killed off Sega as a console manufacturer.
Shocking stuff! It won't be long before we start seeing "Whinger Out!" banners being unfurled around The Library. Who would have predicted that, when Whinger was lording it up off the back of his predecessor's success (ie. the so-called "Invicibles")?
