The excitement is building and I cannot wait! Personally im a very optomistic person and im predicting nothing but a toon win ;). I think the fact we're at SJP gives us a big boost as we usually start the season at Old Trafford, hopefully they are still struggling with injuries too.I hope Cabaye, Barton and Tiote will get a good grip on the game! Does anyone else think we're going to win?

Really looking forward to the start of the season, but I have absolutely no idea about how we will do. Too much depends on how quickly the new lads adapt to the pace and physicality of the Premiership. I do however, think that we will play a better style of football this season, with more pace and better movement and ball retention.

Does anyone have an update on Arsenal's injury problems?

If you are lucky we may have lost Fabregas and Nasri by then!

Would be harsh if they postpone all of the matches. The city of Newcastle has done nothing but carry on as usual, why should it get screwed out of it's first game because of a bunch of idiots from miles away? I can see that causing a riot!

I'd be gutted if that happens. It means the horrible little thieving inbred ****s get what they want, anarchy. They should keep the games and send the firms in the night before to sort out the rioters <ok>

This is what Sky are reporting, the FA are meeting with police authorities tomorrow and will make an announcement tomorrow.

Last I heard it was only London matches there was a possibility of being postponed.

Arsenal maybe missing some key players - RVP, Gibbs, Wilkshire, Vermalan (sp?) & not sure if Nasri or Fabregas will play either.

If it's postponed I will be pissed off big time. Why should sport pay the penalty for a bunch of ignorant low lifes running around causing havoc. Sorry for bad language but it's totally unfair and the gorvernment need to act quickly.

I heard that aswell, it's a absolute disgrace if they do! The matches should go ahead as normal in non-riot areas (like here) and the London (and other riot city's matches) matches should be played behind closed doors. The premier league is far more important than a few inbred 'gangsters' who want a new TV!

It was reported to be just the London matches, but that was before it kicked of in the West Midlands, Manchester and Liverfool.

If the police forces are stretched it is a big possibilty of all being cancelled and will make it my business to go on a one man ramboesq rampage against the rioting ****wits!!!!!!!
